The following runners were declared a late scratching at 11:30am due to no rider being available:

Race 5. No 1. AFFIRMATIVE LIGHT, No 2. RED CODE, No 9. BUZ FUZ
 
Race 1: OUTBACK SOLAR BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1000M
 
DANCE WIZZARD – Raced wide without cover throughout. Laid in under pressure in the final straight, resulting in rider David Sparks having to stop riding and straighten his mount nearing the 75 metres.
 
FORTRESS AUSTRALIA – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin. Got back in the early stages.
 
MANIC LIGHT – Raced wide throughout.
 
EGYPTIAN LASS – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Blundered badly on jumping, losing ground. When questioned regarding the performance of the beaten favourite, apprentice rider Julie Busuttin stated that in her opinion EGYPTIAN LASS was never comfortableon today’s racing surface. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
 
 
RACE 2: CITY & COUNTRY REALTY OPEN Handicap 1000M
 
NAPOLEON STRIKE – Laid in under pressure through the early part of the home straight.
 
LONE ARTIST – Bumped by VIKING VALOUR on jumping.
 
HEAVENLY LEGEND – Inclined to lay in throughout the final straight.
 
VIKING VALOUR – Shifted out on jumping, bumping with LONE ARTIST. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
 
RACE 3: THANKS CNW CLASS 3 Plate 1200M
 
BIGCAT – Shifted out on jumping, bumping with BONDI PROPHET.
 
BONDI PROPHET – Shifted in on jumping, bumping with BIGCAT. Raced wide throughout.

FRAWLEY – Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure through the early part of the home straight, resulting in rider Jade Doyle having to stop riding and straighten her mount.
 
WHOLELOTTALOVE – Shifted in on jumping, bumping with POLLY HOFFA. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
POLLY HOFFA – Bumped by WHOLELOTTALOVE on jumping.
 
 
RACE 4: SPORTSBET OPEN Plate 1450M
 
No racing incidents to report.
 
 
RACE 5: LEWIE FIRE QTIS RATINGS BAND 0-60 Handicap 1450M
 
CRIPPS TONITE – Shifted out shortly after the start, bumping with CRYPTOLOGY. Gave ground from the 500 metres and finished distanced from the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a poor recovery. Trainer Phillip Cole was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s record due to poor performance and was further advised to notify Stewards should anything become apparent in the coming days.
 
THE TYLER – Bumped by THE WELLIAN on jumping.
 
CRYPTOLOGY – Harmlessly dislodged rider Yvette Lewis en route to the barriers. Proved very difficult to load. Trainer Tanya Parry was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners. Bumped by CRIPPS TONITE shortly after the start. Raced wide throughout.
 
HOWSE – Lost contact with the field in the middle stages. When questioned regarding the performance, apprentice rider Julie Busuttin could offer no tangible excuses. Stable representative B. Johnson was advised to notify Stewards should anything become apparent in the coming days.
 
THE WELLIAN – Shifted in on jumping, bumping with THE TYLER. Resented the kickback in the early stages.
