Race 1: WYTON TRANSPORT & TOPX LONGREACH QTIS BM 65 HANDICAP 1000 metres
MUSIC AWARD was a late scratching at 12pm due to no rider being available.
David Rewald was the rider of GODFATHER’S GIRL.
ANGELS OF FENWAY – Jumped away awkwardly contacting GODFATHER’S GIRL then travelled wide for much of the race.
BETTER THAN GOLD – Slow to begin and travelled wide for much of the race and lay out under pressure over the concluding stages. Upon returning to the mounting yard, it was noted the mare had lost a rear offside plate in running.
GODFATHER’S GIRL – Contacted at the start.
THE LAUNCHER – Leaving the 800m resented the kickback and became extremely awkward in its action to the 600m where jockey E. Bell took the gelding wider on the track to avoid the conditions.
Race 2: BRODIE AGENCIES & GEORGE BOURNE AND ASSOCIATES MAIDEN PLATE 1000 metres
KENDISSI – Contacted at the start losing ground and didn’t handle the track conditions and finished tailed off.
HEAVEN BLESS – Slow to begin.
MISTRESS OF MONEY – Contacted at the start, travelled wide in the middle and late stages then laid in over the concluding stages when placed under pressure.
UNLEISHA – Jumped away awkwardly contacting KENDISSI & MISTRESS OF MONEY then didn’t handle the track conditions and finished tailed off.
Race 3: ELDERS LONGREACH & TROPIC PETROLEUM CLASS B HANDICAP 1200 metres
VON’S HEROINE was a late scratching at 12pm due to no rider being available.
ASBURY PARK – Jumped outwards losing considerable ground.
COLOUR CHART – Resented the track conditions and finished tailed off.
PORTABELLE – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages and laid in over the concluding stages under pressure. Jockey J. Missen was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for his use of the whip prior to the 100m.
Race 4: KEN & WIN WEDGWOOD CUP BM 55 HANDICAP 1400 metres
HEROISM – Slow to begin and travelled wide in the middle and latter stages.
SIZZLESUN – Slow to begin and tended to lay in down the home straight.
HOGES – Jumped with head skied and finished tailed off with jockey A. Ross reporting the geldings tongue tie had come off during the running.
Race 5: GREAT ARTESIAN VETERINARY SURGERY & PJ GARLAND BM 55 HANDICAP 1400 metres
GREY FALCON – Slow into stride.
PURPLE TRUMPET – Eased off heels nearing the 1200m then blundered leaving the 1000m becoming awkward for several strides losing ground.
HOT CHOCOLATE – Attempted to savage STRAWBERRY BLONDE whilst racing together passing the 100m and had to be corrected.
Race 6: DAVID & BEBE SECCOMBE MEMORIAL MUTTABURRA CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1400 metres
METSON – Slow to begin then taken wider at the 600m to avoid the kickback and gain clear air.
JARHEAD – Over raced in the early stages.
I WANNA BE A JEEP – Travelled wide for much of the race.
