GENERAL



Stewards allowed the following overweight:

Race 2. J. Baker +0.5kg





Race 1: HERITAGE BANK NANANGO RATINGS BAND 0-55 HANDICAP 800 Metres



KING INVINCIBLE – Raced wide throughout.



KEWELL – Began awkwardly.



SUTHERLAND – Began awkwardly.



PINK SOLITAIRE – Apprentice J. Metcalfe reported she was struck in the left arm by a cast plate in running.



I’M A CHOCOHOLIC – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority.



BEATLEMANIA – Began awkwardly, bumped and apprentice B. Harrison became momentarily awkward in the saddle.







Race 2: BELLBIRD PASTORAL CO. RATINGS BAND 0 - 50 HANDICAP 800 Metres



ALLEZIZZY – Slow to begin.



BRAIDWOOD PRINCE – Began awkwardly, bumped and apprentice B. Baker became momentarily awkward in the saddle.



ULTRA INSTINCT – Raced wide throughout. Blundered on rounding the home turn.



SAY WHEN SUTTY – Raced wide throughout.



SUPER EXCEPTIONAL – Began awkwardly. Steadied near the 500m.







Race 3: G3 ENGINEERING OPEN HANDICAP 1000 Metres



DIGGITY – Obliged to alter course approaching the 100m.



HURRICANE HALL – Slow into stride. Apprentice B. Harrison was reprimanded pursuant to AR227(a) for weighing out without a surcingle, which required her to re-weigh.



CORKSCREW – Apprentice T. Wheeler reported the gelding was inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight.



HOKKAIDO – Began awkwardly and lost ground.



KIRELLA SHORES – Raced wide for the majority.



Following the running of this race, the track was downgraded to a Soft (6).





Race 4: THE PETERSON FAMILY QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200 Metres



CHICK CHICK STICK – Slow to begin.



WOOLMAR – Apprentice T. Wheeler reported that the gelding failed to handle today’s prevailing track conditions.



OUR ESPRIT – Cast both front plates in running.



GOLDEN ARMER – Fractious in the barriers. Near the 600m, commenced to race greenly when OUR ESPRIT shifted in momentarily. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer D. Bell was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding for its barrier manners.



DREAM SUMMIT – Near the 600m, steadied and lost ground when GOLDEN ARMER shifted in momentarily away from OUR ESPRIT. Jockey K. Yoshida reported his mount raced greenly throughout.



WILD DUST – Slow to begin, bumped and lost ground.







Race 5: CLEAR MOUNTAIN FAIRVIEW RATINGS BAND 0-50 HANDICAP 1200 Metres



FENDBAR – Raced wide throughout.



OUR DRUMMER – Raced wide the majority.



PARTY PROPHET – Slipped behind on jumping away. Cast the off fore plate in running.



DOONA – Bumped on jumping and lost ground.



MIDNIGHT BOOM – Raced wide throughout.



EASY COME – Began awkwardly, shifted in and lost ground



READY TO MINGLE – Began awkwardly and lost ground.





Race 6: PAT COLLINS PEST CONTROL 0-50 HANDICAP 1200 Metres



FIELD AGENT – Raced wide throughout.



THE STONE MASON – Shifted in on jumping.



DAUNTING INSTINCT – Apprentice B. Baker reported that her mount failed to handle today’s soft track conditions. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.



MAEVE – Tightened for room shortly after the start.



SENSE OF HUMOUR – Began awkwardly.



I’M FAMOUS – Shifted out on jumping. Raced wide throughout.



GREAT ANGLES – Tightened for room shortly after the start. Raced wide throughout. Forced wider rounding the home turn.







Race 7: FITZROY HOTEL NANANGO CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1600 Metres



WITHOUT REVENGE – Underwent a pre race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.



VILLADEN – Raced wide during the early and middle stages.



FIRE KING – Slow to begin. Rider A. Spinks reported his mount failed to handle today’s soft track conditions.



SECURITY ADVISOR – Raced wide for the majority.
