RACE 1 - CHRIS SCHLOSS & RILEY WILSON MEMORIAL MAIDEN PLATE (3YO & UP) – 1000M
 
JOSEPHINE’S BOY – Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
OKCHARLIE – Hampered at the start when GONE BY DAYLIGHT was taken in.
 
ALIZA – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

GONE BY DAYLIGHT – Hampered at the start when REEVACITY was taken in. Near the 600m, improved onto the heels of LAKE OF FIRE and was obliged to be steadied. Apprentice A Graham reported that she felt GONE BY DAYLIGHT was inclined to lay in throughout the event.

REEVACITY – Severely hampered at the start and lost ground when heavily contacted by TUK TIK which began awkwardly and shifted in. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
TUK TIK – Began awkwardly and shifted in, heavily contacting REEVACITY. Raced wide throughout. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. When asked to comment on the performance, jockey H. Richardson stated she felt TUK TIK began well, however proved disappointing when placed under pressure in the home straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
MAIDENOZ – When asked to comment on the performance, jockey S. Wilcock stated she felt the filly raced greenly throughout and may not have appreciated todays firm track conditions. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalitles.
 
 
RACE 2 - STALLIONS @ CLEAR MOUNTAIN FAIRVIEW QTIS CLASS 3 PLATE (3YO & UP) – 1000M
 
The start of this event was delayed due to MANHATTAN THUNDER undergoing a pre race veterainary examination after getting its near hind leg up on the barrier partition and was cleared to start.
 
BEE EXACT – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
ON THE TARGET – Raced wide throughout.
 
THE HAMO – When questioned regarding THE HAMO’s disappointing performance, jockey C. Meehan stated that after travelling comfortably throughout, he felt THE HAMO failed to respond to his riding from rounding the home turn and therefore proved disappointing to the finish.
 
ELEGANT LUCY – Slow to begin.
 
LATE NIGHT TALKING – Raced wide throughout. When asked to comment on the performance, jockey S. Wilcock stated it was her intention to ride with cover in todays event, however after beginning well, she was forced to race wide in a forward position. She further added that in her opinion, the mare would be better suited to races over further ground. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer B. Davis advised LATE NIGHT TALKING had recently been in season and that this may have contributed to todays poor performance.
 
LONESOME STAR –  Began awkwardly.
 
 
 
 
 
 
RACE 3 - NANANGO SHOW SOCIETY BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP – 1200M
 
The start of the event was delayed due to STRATIFIED undergoing a resaddle at the barriers.
 
STRATIFIED – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
BLACK ‘N’ DEADLY – Over raced in the early and middle stages.
 
DON’T TELL LEEANE – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
ABOVE THE WORLD – Raced wide throughout.
 
POWERFUL WARRIOR – Began awkwardly and as a result was slow to begin.
 
 
 
 
 
 
RACE 4 - CAROLLEE HOTEL RATINGS BAND 0 – 50 HANDICAP – 1200M
 
LECAN – Raced wide throughout.
 
BLAME THE WHISKEY – Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
BRAIDWOOD QUEEN – Raced wide throughout.
 
OAKFIELD MONTANA – Raced wide throughout. Laid out rounding the home turn. A post race veterinary examination revealed OAKFIELD MONTANA to have sustained a canine tooth avulsion and would require the attention of a equine dentist. Trainer R. Warzecha was advised OAKFIELD MONTANA would require a veterinary certificate prior to accepting for a future jump out, trial or race.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
RACE 5 - WOOROOLIN CAFÉ BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1600M
 
The start of this event was delayed by approximately nine (9) minutes due to MISS LINNY having its bridle and tongue tie readjusted after being displaced behind the barriers.
 
THIEF BY NIGHT - Over raced in the early stages of the event.
 
MISS LINNY – Steadied when placed in restricted room near the  1400m when PROCLAIMER (P. Randall) shifted in. Jockey P. Randall was reminded of his obligations pursuant to AR131(a) when shifting ground in future.  Apprentice W. Galloway reported that in his opinion MISS LINNY never travelled in todays event and felt uncomfortable in its action. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be displaying symptons of tying up. Trainer M. Morgan was advised MISS LINNY would require a veterinary certificate prior to accepting for a future jump out, trial or race.
 
PROCLAIMER – Near the 1400m, shifted in onto MISS LINNY. Held up for clear running from near the 300m until approaching the 200m and at this point, improved onto the heels of COSTA CATORI and shifted out abruptly as a result.
 
STAR ANTHEM – Slow to begin.
 
WICKED GAMES – When asked to comment on the tactis adopted, Jockey S. Wilcock stated her instructions were to drive WICKED GAMES out of the gates, due to the gelding being slow out last start. She added, after being caught wide in the early stages, she elected to obtain cover however, after  the gelding resented the kick back, she elected to allow her mount to shift back out to a three wide position, however in doing so, WICKED GAMES failed to respond to her riding. She further added the gelding may not have appreciated todays firm track conditions and may be suited to a longer distance than that of todays event. Stewards noted Jockey S. Wilcock’s comments.
