RACE 1: SWEETER SOILS/BEC FEED/CAMILLERI EARTHMOVING/MACKEY WALES/STOCKLICK BASALT PLATE MAIDEN PLATE 1000 M
 
KARMARDO – As the gelding had not raced for an extended period it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
 
KNIGHTS – As the gelding had not raced for an extended period it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Slow to begin.
 
A LITTLE XTRA – Began awkwardly. Shifted in leaving the 900 metres crowding MINNIE VEGAS which was steadied. Jockey Ms. A. Thomson was advised to show greater care when shifting ground.   
 
MINNIE VEGAS – Momentarily steadied leaving the 900 metres when crowded for room by A LITTLE XTRA. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
The barrier gates were delayed slightly from when the start was effected. This was brought to the starter’s attention and they were retested prior to the running of race 2.   
 
RACE 2: GOUGH PLACTICS/OASIS ROADHOUSE/EXPLORE MUNRO & CO/ B&B COMMELLI/DONOHUES NIMMO PLATE CLASS 3 PLATE 1000 M
 
KHABALOV – As the gelding had not raced for an extended period it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Slow into stride.
 
SWEET CANDY – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race.  
 
ADMITTED – Apprentice Ms. S. Pointon advised stewards on returning to scale that the gelding may not have been entirely comfortable on today’s firm track.  
 
BETTER BE SLICK – A post-race veterinary examination revealed a puncture wound to its off fore tendon area. Trainer B. Bailey was advised a veterinary clearance of soundness must be provided prior to the gelding racing or trialing again.
 
 
 
 
RACE 3: MURPHY MEMORIAL VICE PRESIDENTS' PLATE BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1200 M
 
SECRET CYPHER – Over-raced in the middle stages.
 
MAGIC IN ME – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race. Compounded in the home straight and finished tailed off. Jockey B. Kennedy advised stewards it felt awkward in its stride and did not appreciate today’s firm surface. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer Z. McFarlane was advised should anything come to his attention in the coming days that may have had a bearing on today’s performance to advise stewards.       
 
GREY POWER – Apprentice Ms. S. Pointon advised stewards on returning to scale that the gelding was not comfortable on today’s firm track which was agreeable by Co-Trainer P. Rowe. Mr. Rowe was advised if anything was to come to his attention in the coming days that may have had a bearing on today’s performance to advise stewards.       
 
XINGXING – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

RACE 4: TUFF N UP LADIES BRACELET OPEN HANDICAP 1200 M
 
RACATOON – As jockey Ms. A. Thomson was unable to make the allotted weight she was replaced by jockey I. Fry. Ms. Thomson was fined the sum of $100 under the provisions of AR 190(3).
 
ROUGE MOULIN – Slow to begin.
 
SPIRIT MEISTER – Began awkwardly.
 
RACE 5: COLLINS FAMILY/TOPX LONGREACH FULFORD PLATE QTIS RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP 1400 M
 
REDLIGHTS ON – Slow to begin. Raced ungenerously throughout the race having a tendency to lay out and as a result raced wide for the majority of the race. A post- race veterinary examination revealed REDLIGHTS ON to have gone down on its near hind bumper. Trainer S. Bush was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing manners.   
 
VERBALIZE – Began awkwardly resulting in jockey L. Morrison being momentarily unbalanced.
 
RISKY INVESTMENT – Put in four awkward strides soon after the start. Shifted wider to improve leaving the 500 metres and raced very wide rounding the home turn.

TSUNAMI – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
MOHAWK WARRIOR – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
