SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
Oak Park 3 July 2026 – COLLINS FAMILY/TOPX LONGREACH FULFORD PLATE QTIS RATINGS BAND 0-55 Handicap 1400 M
Trainer Trevor Rowe subsequently advised stewards RARE AND RELIABLE (NZ) after competing in this race the previous day was found to be sore in the nearside foreleg. Stewards advised Mr. Rowe that a veterinary certificate of soundness would be required prior to the mare’s next trial or start.
GENERAL
Prior to the commencement of today’s meeting all riders were subject to a alcohol breath testing.
Rider Ms. A. Thomson was stood down until further notice and rider replacements are as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.
RACE 1: NORTH QLD TOYOTA COWBOYS/LANCEFIELD BRAHMANS/HALPIN PARTNERS COPPERFIELD QTIS Maiden Plate 1200 M
The start of this race was slightly delayed when connections had difficulties with applying the tongue-tie to IT’S SHOWTIME.
SPEITH IMPEDIMENT – As the filly had not started for an extended period of time, it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race. Brushed by MISS BOHO FASHION on jumping. Rider reported the filly raced greenly for the majority of the race and proved difficult to ride.
IT’S SHOWTIME – Slow to begin. Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
MISS BOHO FASHION – Shifted out on jumping and brushed with SPEITH IMPEDIMENT.
RACE 2: COLEMAN STOCK FEEDS THE BANGLE CLASS 4 Handicap 1200 M
MCLOVIN – Raced keenly in the early stages of the race.
KICKAGOAL KENNY – Raced ungenerously throughout the race. Co-Trainer P Rowe advised stewards that the gelding was showing soreness in the offside front leg and would be sent for an immediate spell. Mr. Rowe was, however, advised a veterinary certificate of soundness would be required prior to the gelding’s next trial or race start.
STOKOMO – Made the turn awkwardly after the finish line and veered out despite the efforts of its rider forcing CAPICELLA wider.
CAPICELLA – Forced wider by STOKOMO after the winning post on the turn out of the straight.
RACE 3:THE COLLINS FAMILIES SPRING CREEK MEMORIAL Class B Handicap 1000 M
EXCELBOOM – Began awkwardly.
AZCONPETE – Began awkwardly and lost ground, rider reported the gelding resented the kickback during the middle and later stages of the race.
DRUMSHANBO – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages of the race.
RACE 4:BOOTH RURAL AND ELANCO THE LYNDHURST SHIELD MM/ROB KOCH MEM/FNQ UP&C STAYERS BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1600 M
ZOUHOPE – Declared a late scratching at 2.00pm by order of stewards due to no available rider. As pre-race betting had commenced on this race, on the announcement of correct weight all monies invested on ZOUHOPE prior to 2.00pm were ordered to be refunded and deductions applicable to all successful bets prior to 2.00pm are as follows:
12 cents in the dollar for the win (KIRKALL)
11 cents in the dollar for the place of winner (INNOVATES)
11 cents in the dollar for 2nd place (DEAL AN ACE)
11 cents in the dollar for 3rd place (MEDAL)
LONE FORCE – Began awkwardly and was slow into stride.
ACCLIMATISE – Raced wide in the middle stages of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the inside right hock of the geldings off hind leg.
KIRKALL – Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.
FIRST MAN – Finished tailed off. Rider reported the gelding resented the kickback and did not appreciate racing on today’s firm surface. A veterinary examination of the gelding indicated no obvious abnormalities.
RACE 5:GENEX POWER/HONEYCOMBES TRUCKS/COBBOLD GORGE WERRINGTON PLATE BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1000 M
INSTA WORTHY – Slow to begin.
BELLA BIANCA – Had a tendency to lay out for the majority of the race.
OUR ADDICTION – A post-race veterinary examination revealed a small laceration to the geldings near hind leg.
