GENERAL
1. The following runners were declared a late scratching at 11:30am due to no rider being available:
Race 2: No 1. ILZOOMYA, No 9. BITTERBLUE
Race 3: No 4. ROGUE ‘N’ READY, No 7. WITHOUT, No 9. MARREW FANCY NANCY
Race 4: No 7. GLASSOUT, No 8. POLLY HOFFA

RACE 1: ACE POWER QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200M
AZCONPETE – Shifted out and bumped SEABEE on jumping. Raced wide in the middle stages. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the early part of the final straight.
EROTAS (NZ) – Raced wide without cover throughout.
INSAIN FLAME – Began awkwardly.
SEABEE – Bumped on jumping.
RACE 2: COLEMANS STOCKFEED BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1200M
CHASETON – Shifted out on jumping bumping TORONADO ROUGE, which was taken out onto CHARGRILL.
REVVED UP READY – Laid in for a short distance passing the 1100 metres.
TORONADO ROUGE – Began awkwardly then taken out by CHASETON contacting CHARGRILL after being bumped.
AURA GOLD – Bucked shortly after leaving the barriers, losing all chance. Trainer Shryn Royes was advised that AURA GOLD must trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.
THE TYLER – Inconvenienced shortly after the start by AURA GOLD which bucked. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
CHARGRILL – Contacted on jumping. When questioned on the performance, apprentice rider Shae Nielson stated after being inconvenienced by AURA GOLD which bucked and getting back, the gelding failed to make up any ground.
RACE 3: WINDLAB RATINGS BAND 0 - 50 HANDICAP 1000M
SCHOOL FEES (NZ) – Shifted in on jumping hampering RUSTY ROSE. Raced wide without cover throughout.
WHOLELOTTALOVE – Jumped out abruptly hampering RUSTY ROSE.
SNIPILLICIOUS – Began awkwardly. Bumped shortly after the start. Raced wide without cover throughout. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
MR KOBO – Shifted out on jumping bumping SNIPPILICIOUS. Laid out around the final turn.
RUSTY ROSE – Began awkwardly then hampered between runners, losing ground.
RACE 4: HAMMER & CO EARTHMOVING RATINGS BAND 0 - 50 HANDICAP 1400M
The start was delayed to allow the bridle for LEGAL CHALLENGE to be refitted after becoming detached when behind the barriers.
LEGAL CHALLENGE – Stood flat-footed at the start and lost ground. When questioned on the performance, rider Jason Babarovich stated that shortly after jumping the gelding may have had its tongue over the bit, which in his opinion unsettled LEGAL CHALLENGE for a distance in the early stages. Rider Babarovich added that after losing considerable ground, the gelding resented the kickback from the Prairie track and failed to stretch out, however once clear of the kickback, recovered ground over the concluding stages.
ZOUHOPE – Slow to begin. Stewards noted rider David Sparks exceeded the permitted strikes of the whip prior to the 100m (+2) under AR132(7)(a)(ii); however, given the totality of the whip use, no further action was taken.
OUTCAST SOLDIER – Shifted out on jumping hampering TUCK. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
TUCK – Hampered on jumping.
DANGEREUSE – Raced wide without cover throughout.
SUPERSTELLAR – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Over-raced in the early and middle stages when leading.
RACE 5: FMC GRASHLAN & BOOTH RURAL PRAIRIE CUP BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1400M
TEQUILA DANCER – Raced three-wide throughout.
JOY MCCOY (NZ) – Raced four-wide without cover throughout.
