FORGOTTEN DESTINY – Was a late scratching at 11:30am when no rider was available.

I’M DESPERATE TOO – Slowly away. Jockey A Spradau reported that after beginning awkwardly the gelding then raced in restricted room from the 800m and was forced wider thereafter.

DIURNAL TIGER – Raced wide near the 800m.

VILLAINOUS LASS – Raced wide throughout.

HEART OF STRENGTH – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

SHOW US THE WAY – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

MOLONGLE CHIEF – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

Race 2: Rabobank Class B Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – MISS DELIMA 2nd – BORN TO FIRE 3rd – AMAZING MOSS 4th – FIRSTINBESTDRESSED

FIRSTINBESTDRESSED – Jockey T Chambers was a late riding engagement and when no other rider was available stewards permitted her to ride the mare 1.5kg over its declared weight. Raced wide rounding the home turn.

ISLES OF TEO – When no other Jockey was available stewards permitted Jockey D Ballard to ride the gelding 0.5kg over its declared weight.

JOYFUL – Jockey S Galvin explained that the mare raced ungenerously in the early stages and lost ground.

WHAT THE HECK – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

BUCKANARA – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

TEN TORINOS – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

Race 3: Hastings Deering Open Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – CARRY ME 2nd – BIANCO ROSSA 3rd – DEL PALIO 4th – STRATEGIC WEAPON

DEL PALIO – Jockey J Felix was a late ride engagement. Reared on jumping and lost some ground.

DARCEY – Began awkwardly and lost ground.

SMOOTH GENERAL – Slow into stride. Jockey K Ballard reported that near the 700m gelding shifted in and made contact with the running resulting in him sustaining an injury to his right foot.

ABDICATED – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

BIANCO ROSSA – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

STRATEGIC WEAPON – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

Race 4: Rising Sun Honda Benchmark 55 Handicap 1400 metres:
1st – DON’T TELL PETE 2nd – SKY DISK 3rd – AL COMMAND 4th – CRAIGLEA FOCUS

FASHION KURV – Was a late scratching at 2:00pm when no rider was available.

TOUGH COMPANY – When no other rider was available stewards permitted Jockey T Chambers to ride the mare 2.5kg over its declared weight. Raced wide rounding the home turn.

MIATOKO – Raced wide throughout.

ONYA DUSTY – Raced wide throughout.

Race 5: Coleman’s Stockfeeds P/L Benchmark 70 Handicap 1400 metres:
1st – REVEL IN THE CHAOS 2nd – SHANTUNG BOXER 3rd – BLU AXIS 4th – GAMBACCINI

Prior to the declaration of correct weight stewards viewed the start of the race to ascertain whether ALL FIVES and REQUIREMENT had been afforded a fair start. After taking evidence from all relative parties and after viewing the patrol films it was established that the gates occupied by both ALL FIVES and REQUIREMENT were slow to open resulting in both runners losing considerable ground. Acting under the provisions of AR134A stewards declared both ALL FIVES and REQUIRMENT non-runners deeming that they had been denied a fair start. Stewards ordered that all bets made on ALL FIVES and REQUIREMENT be refunded in full and that all other successful bets made on the race be subject to the deductions of 27 cents win and 23 cents place on the face value of the betting ticket.

LIKEFATHERLIKESON – Was fractious in the barriers and broke through the front gates before being quickly restrained by its rider. The gelding was then inspected by the clubs veterinary officer and was passed fit to start.
