Jockey S. McGovern was reprimanded under A.R. 137A for excessive use of the whip on ANGEL'S CROWN.

Trainer L. Rowe confirmed that GHANA will now be sent for a spell.

DR STRANGELOVE - Was slow to begin.
DARK MATTER - Raced 3 wide from the 900 metres.
Race 2: XXXX Gold F&M Maiden Handicap - 1100 metres
1st MINI MINX 2nd EKKAREEZA 3rd LAYAN 4th - TARA'S RANSOM
MISS HOFFA - The start was delayed when the mare was fractious in the enclosure and dislodged its rider. The mare was examined by the veterinary surgeon and stewards ordered its late scratching at 1.29 p.m on veterinary advice. Subsequently they ordered that all bets made on MISS HOFFA be refunded in full and that the following deductions apply:
20¢ in the dollar for the win, for the winner MINI MINX
15¢ in the dollar for the place for the winner, MINI MINX
15¢ in the dollar for the place for 2nd, EKKAREEZA
19¢ in the dollar for the place for 3rd, LAYAN
The start was further delayed while Jockey McIver was examined by the Ambulance Officers and cleared to take his further engagements. Trainer S. Sigvart was advised that MISS HOFFA must perform to the satisfaction of the stewards in an official barrier trial before being permitted to race again.
RAPID DRAGON - Slow to begin.
EKKAREEZA - Near the 900 metres was awkward in its stride and became unbalanced.
RIGHT OR ROME - Leaving the 700 metres shifted out resulting in another runner having to be steadied. Rider advised to exercise more care.
PEEARN - Leaving the 700 metres had to be steadied when another runner shifted out.
LAYAN - Raced wide throughout.
Race 3: Hahn 3.5 E&G Maiden Handicap - 1100 metres
1st CAUGHT ELOPING 2nd SOMEPLACE 3rd DUQUESNE WHISTLE 4th - DESOLATION ROW
FOOLISH THOUGHT - Stewards accepted the reason tendered by trainer J. Rundle for the late notification of Jockey J. Lait as the rider of gelding. Raced at Rockhampton in a 3YO Handicap over 1200 metres on Friday, 5th December 2014, ran 6th of 7, beaten 11.9 lengths. Public announcements were made advising patrons accordingly. Permitted to add pacifiers back on. Near the 1000 metres rolled in, forcing another runner to ease. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had a laceration to its offside hock.
ON THE WICKET - Prior to the race the gelding, which was resuming after a 12 months spell, was examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field. At the start shifted out and made contact with another runner, then shifted in and made contact with another runner.
DO US PROUD - Contacted by another runner at the start. Raced wide throughout.
SYLVAN GLACIER - Raced wide throughout.
DUQUESNE WHISTLE - Contacted by another runner, which shifted out at the start. Eased near the 1000 metres.
GOIN' FOR BROKE - The rider reported that the gelding laid out in the middle stages.
SOMEPLACE - Made contact with another runner at the start.
INFLUENCES - Made contact with another runner at the start.
Race 4: Barcardi Oakheart Class 4 Handicap- 1050 metres
1st TOUCH 'N' GO 2nd PHOTOBOMB 3rd STORMWOOD 4th - VELONMAARA
This race was run in heavy rain.
TOUCH 'N' GO - At the start shifted out and bumped another runner.
VELONMAARA - Bumped at the start.
Race 5: Toohey’s Extra Dry BM 60 Handicap- 1300 metres
1st STRADA TITLE 2nd NOT SO SOBER 3rd RISHONA 4th - WOODEN EYE JOE
Due to a severe rain and electrical storm in the locality, the start of the race was postponed for approximately 5 minutes. Following the race the track rating was downgraded retrospectively to a Soft 6.
STRADA TITLE - Raced at Thangool in a BenchMark 65 Handicap yesterday, 6th December 2014, winning by 0.8 length and consequently incurred a 1.5kg penalty for this event. Public announcements were made advising patrons accordingly.
DON ELLA - Slow into stride.
NOT SO SOBER - Was disappointed for clear running in the early stages of the straight until near the 450 metres and was shifted out to improve. When the pace eased near the 900 metres galloped on the heels of another runner.
MONTANA HERO- A post-race veterinary examination of the horse revealed a laceration to its near hind leg.
RISHONA - The rider reported that his mount did not handle the rain-affected track.
