Race 1: XXXX Gold QTIS 3YO Maiden Handicap - 1100 metres
1st MADAM PINK 2nd SAMARAH GIRL 3rd GEORGIE PORGIE 4th - COSTA LITTLE

WEREMEBERZENNETH – Due to no other rider being available, and with the consent of trainer G. Elliott, stewards permitted Jockey S. McGovern to ride the filly 3kg overweight. Difficult to load into the barriers. A warning will be placed on the filly's barrier manners. Leaving the 200 metres shifted in and contacted another runner, then shifted out onto heels and was restrained, shifted in and made heavy contact with CHOI OI, which was taken in and inconvenienced CRAIGLEA JETT. A further warning was placed on its racing manners.

DONQUINN DOTTY- Contacted by another runner at the start. When questioned regarding the performance of the filly Jockey B. Stewart explained that he was mindful that this was the filly's first race start and that she was performing against raced horses. He said that the filly had taken up a favourable position, however raced greenly in the home straight and was somewhat disappointing. Jockey Stewart added that in his opinion DONQUINN would take improvement from the run.

CHOI OI - Was slow to begin, shifted out and made contact with another runner. Leaving the 200 metres, heavy contact with another runner, taken in and contacted another runner.

CRAIGLEA JETT - On jumping, knuckled and shifted out. At approximately the 900 metres shifted in and away from another runner. Approaching the 200 metres, shifted in under pressure. Leaving the 200 metres, inconvenienced when another runner was taken in.

Mr Dixon was reminded of the provisions of A.R. 135A in regard to any change of tactics and that is must be no later than 30 minutes prior to the race. Public announcements were made accordingly; however after beginning awkwardly NATONYA took up a position worse than midfield.

RADIANT JOY - Raced 3 wide throughout. Questioned about her riding tactics App. Vuille stated that she was instructed to ride the mare where she was comfortable, however due to the perceived pace of the race she had anticipated being in a handy position one away from the running rail. App. Vuille acknowledged that the race did not pan out as she had expected and she was obliged to race midfield in a 3 wide position, and she had erred by not allowing her mount to stride forward in the back straight and take a leading position. Stewards agreed with her assessment of the ride and noted her explanation.

FOREVER MORE - Near the 600 metres shifted out and bumped another runner.

DE LA DILO - The rider reported that his mount shifted out under pressure at about the 400 metres.

AWESOME RANSOM - Mare sustained a minor laceration to its off foreleg.

PRETTY VACANT - When asked about the performance of the gelding Jockey A. Coome was of the opinion that he was of the opinion that it failed to run out a strong 1800 metres, however had travelled well until near the 400 metres then failed to run on and may have come to the end of its preparation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was showing a poor post-race recovery rate. Trainer G. Farrell informed stewards that the horse will now be spelled and he will confine its races to distances up to 1600 metres.

Race 6: Summer Bright BenchMark 70 Handicap - 1300 metres
1st - POWER RANGER 2nd - DASH FOR VIZ 3rd - EMPEROR 4th - FLAGGES FLYING

Prior to the declaration of correct weight stewards reviewed the patrol films to ascertain if any objection should be lodged against the winner. Having done so, they were mindful of the grounds of any objection and the margin between the two horses at the finish and therefore did not proceed.

FICKLE BUSINESS - The declaration of correct weight was delayed while stewards considered an application by Trainer K McGovern for the horse to be declared a non-runner under the terms of A.R. 134A. Stewards established that FICKLE BUSINESS reared as the start was effected, began awkwardly, and shortly after the start dislodged its rider. Accordingly, the application was denied due to the mannerisms of the horse and stewards declared it a runner. Trainer K. McGovern will be advised that the gelding must perform satisfactorily in a barrier jump-out prior to its next start.

POWER RANGER - Was slow to begin. From the 150 metres shifted ground.
