GENERAL
As S. McGovern was indisposed and A. Butler was to be overweight , riding changes were made as per the Stewards Summary Sheet.
Race 1: XXXX Gold BM65 H'cap - 1809m
BUTCHER BOY - Rider reported that the gelding was inclined to hang out for the majority of the race and as a result shifted out, making contact with another runner on a number of occasions in the home straight. Trainer T. Button reported to stewards he would experiment with gear changes for the horse's next start. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
FOREVER MORE - Bumped on a number of occasions in the home straight.
Race 2: Summer Bright With Lime Brisbane Bloodstock Bonus QTIS 2yo Maiden H'cap - 1100m
As A. Butler was to be overweight on Stormin' Annie, T. O'Hara was substituted as the rider of that horse. A. Butler was fined $100.
As S. McGovern was indisposed, T. Williams was substituted as the rider of Pennycalaine. Stewards acceded to a request from trainer C. Garland to replace S. McGovern with apprentice T. Williams as no other suitable rider was available.
WEEKEND SAVIOUR - Proved difficult to load, delaying the start. A warning was placed on the horse regarding its barriers manners. Reared as the start was effected, losing considerable ground.
STORMIN' ANNIE - Proved difficult to load, delaying the start. A warning was placed on the horse regarding its barriers manners. Inclined to hang in under pressure in the home straight.
RAILROAD BILL - Had to be steadied after improving onto heels near the 800m.
CRAIGLEA SHUFFLE - Steadied when racing greenly in restricted room near the 900m. Following this the horse continued to race greenly throughout.
Race 3: Capricornia Yearling Sales Catalogue 2015 Now Available Maiden H'cap - 1400m
VIRTUITY - Due to a misprint stewards permitted the horse to race in blinkers, which gear it raced in at its previous start.
RAPID DRAGON - Rider J. Taylor was reprimanded for failing to weight in as the 5th placegetter.
HAYYLER'S AFFAIR - After arriving at the barriers blood was observed in its mouth. A subsequent veterinary examination cleared the filly to take its place in the field.
AZZURAYER - Began awkwardly and lost ground.
BUZZING TIMBRAL - Began awkwardly.
JOFFA VALOUR - Rider D. Evans was reprimanded for shifting out near the 400m, making heaving contact with another runner.
HAYYLER'S AFFAIR - Raced wide throughout. Bumped heavily near the 400m.
SAVAGE LAND - Raced wide throughout.
Race 4: Hahn 3.5 BM70 H'cap - 1300m
Trainer J. Manzelman was fined a total of $100 for failing to notify gear changes for Oratry, and Pacemaker (Race 5).
Correct weight was delayed to allow rider A. Coome, rider of the 2nd placegetter, Prince Dan, to view the stewards' patrol video to ascertain if he had grounds to lodge a protest against McConachy being declared the winner, alleging interference over the concluding stages. After viewing the footage, A. Coome declined to proceed and correct weight was semaphored on the Judge's placings.
BRILLANCONI - Began awkwardly and lost ground.
NOBODY'S BOY - Slow to begin.
PRINCE DAN - Shifted out over the concluding stages away from CUMANI and then shifted in and away from McCONACHY which shifted in slightly, resulting in PRINCE DAN brushing CUMANI.
Race 5: Hahn Super Dry QTIS 3yo Maiden H'cap - 1200m
LISTEN TRIST - Declared a late scratching at 4.03 pm on veterinary advice after the filly made contact with the outside running rail during the preliminary.
Subsequent to the event, all monies invested on the horse were ordered to be refunded, with the following deductions applicable.
2 cent in the dollar for the win of Racey Macey
2 cents in the dollar for place of winner Racey Macey
2 cents in the dollar for 2nd place Craiglea Jet
2 cent in the dollar for 3rd place Onemoreenobledancer

WEREMEMBERZENNETH - Trainer G. Elliott was reprimanded for failing to notify the appropriate gear for the horse.
RACEY MACEY - Began awkwardly and shifted out abruptly.
GEORGIE PORGIE - Hampered at the start. Shifted in and had to be steadied near the 200m.
CRAIGLEA JETT - Overraced in the early and middle stages when racing in restricted room between runners. Shifted in abruptly leaving the 400m despite the efforts of its rider.
PACEMAKER - Steadied when tightened for room between Racey Macey and Craiglea Jett, which shifted in abruptly despite the efforts of its rider leaving the 400m.
ONEMOREENOLEDANCER - Held up in the early part of the home straight.
INTREPID GREY - Checked at the start. Rider reported the gelding raced greenly throughout.
SCEPTICS - Rider D. Evans could offer no tangible explanation for the disappointing performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities other than a slow post-race recovery.
Race 6: Toohey's Extra Dry Class 2 H'cap - 1200m
JOKERMAN - Blundered at the start.
OSSENHAGEN - Checked from heels when the pace steadied near the 900m and shifted in, inconveniencing Cherishthethought, which also had to be checked from heels.
COURT LANE - Raced wide throughout.
SHOW US THE WAY - Stewards questioned rider R. McMahon regarding the tactics adopted in the early part of the race, of concern to stewards was the reason the gelding settled further back in the field then that of its previous start. He stated that after beginning awkwardly and putting in an awkward stride shortly after the start, he was unable to settle in a forward position and as a result was forced to race further back in the field than he had anticipated. Stewards noted the explanation.
