SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT: Gladstone, 7th March 2015
Race 1: Easter Racing Carnival Maiden Plate
ALL BAR MAX - Jockey S. McGovern was reprimanded for using his whip on the gelding in a forehand manner in consecutive strides prior to the 100 metres.
Race 1: Ian Weigh Motors Maiden Plate - 1200 metres
1st VIRTUITY 2nd WAR NOISE 3rd FONDUE 4th - JOANIES LUCK
MISS SATINE - Trainer J. Rideout informed stewards that the mare had been injured in the float en route to the course. Stewards ordered the late scratching of the mare at 10.33 a.m.
CRAIGLEA COPPER - Late scratching at 1.11 p.m. by order of the stewards when presented to race with work plates. Stewards ordered that all bets made on the gelding be refunded and that the following deductions apply:
1¢ in the dollar for the win, for the winner VIRTUITY
2¢ in the dollar for the place for the winner, VIRTUITY
2¢ in the dollar for the place for 2nd, WAR NOISE
2¢ in the collar for the place for 3rd, FONDUE
Trainer L. Murphy pleaded guilty to a charge under A.R. 141A and was fined $400.
FRANKY COLD MEDINA - Was slow to begin.
COME ON HUSS - Began awkwardly.
WAR NOISE - Slow to begin.
COOLOWIE - On jumping shifted in onto another runner. Leaving the 200 metres laid out slightly.
AMAZZLER and HOPETOUN RULES- Inconvenienced leaving the 200 metres when runners shifted ground.
GRAND HOTEL - Bumped on jumping. Raced wide throughout.
VIRTUITY - Near the 150 metres shifted in under pressure.
LADY PEMBROKE - Raced wide throughout. Laid in slightly leaving 200 metres.
MR KILCOY - Raced wide throughout.
Race 2: Griffin Builders QTIS 2YO Fillies Maiden Handicap - 1100 metres
1st SONADOR'S PRINCESS 2nd STIRLING GIRL 3rd CRAIGLEA SWIFT 4th - SHE'S BOODIFUL
ROMANTIC STORY – On arrival behind the barriers, at the request of the rider, the horse underwent a veterinary examination and was found to be mildly shin sore. Stewards ordered that all bets made on the filly be refunded in full and that the following deductions apply:

3¢ in the dollar for the place for the winner, SONADOR'S PRINCESS
5¢ in the dollar for the place for 2nd, STIRLING GIRL

CHANDELIER LASS - Slow to begin.
BREAKFAST SHOW - Shifted out at the start and made contact with another runner.
KAIDA - Contacted by another runner at the start.
Trainer C. Garland was reprimanded for presenting STIRLING GIRL and SHE'S BOODIFUL with taping on their front bumpers that were not properly fastened.
Race 3: Tropical Auto Group QTIS 2YO C&G Maiden Handicap - 1100 metres
1st CRAIGLEA BLITZ 2nd PEGUNNY KID 3rd RAKAMO 4th - DICK'S WHITTINGTON
CHARSON'S GIFT - Refused to load into the barriers and was a late scratching, at 2.51 p.m. Subsequently stewards ordered that all bets made on the gelding be refunded in full and that the following deductions apply:

2¢ in the dollar for the place for the winner, CRAIGLEA BLITZ
5¢ in the dollar for the place for 2nd, PEGUNNY KID

Trainer L. Petersen was advised that she must provide a further barrier certificate prior to the gelding being permitted to race again.
TICATIME - Slow to begin.
DAZZA'S REWARD - Slow to begin.
CHILLI CON CARNE - Shifted out at the start. Bumped leaving the 200 metres.
CRAIGLEA WISE - Bumped another runner at the start.
WEEKEND SAVIOUR - Bumped at the start. Raced wide throughout. Hung out near the 600 metres. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
DICK'S WHITTINGTON - Rider reported that his mount raced greenly in the home straight and was reluctant to shift out from behind horses in the early part of the straight.
RAKAMO - Raced wide until near the 700 metres.
PEGUNNY KID - Raced wide throughout. Rider reported that his mount hung in under pressure from the 150 metres.
I EXCEED - Rider reprimanded under A.R. 144 for failing to weigh in for 5th. Bumped leaving the 200 metres.
Race 4: Swanwick Murray Roche Lawyers Class 3 Plate - 1200 metres
1st PRIMED FOR DESTINY 2nd BORN TO SURVIVE 3rd QUICK ASSAULT 4th - DYNA ROSE
BANNER - A pre-race veterinary examination of the gelding, which was resuming from a significant spell, did not reveal any abnormalities and the horse was cleared to take its place in the field.
BARON REES - Raced 3 wide throughout.
SHE'S GOT BEAUTY - Rider reprimanded under A.R. 144 for failing to weigh in for 5th.
Stewards opened an inquiry into the riding of Apprentice N. Vuille on QUICK ASSAULT leaving the 600 metres. She stated that she was instructed to give the gelding sufficient time to quicken and sprint and at this stage shifted out from behind BARON REES. App Vuille conceded that she had shifted out too far and in doing so allowed PRIMED FOR DESTINY to improve to her inside. Stewards agreed that she erred in failing to hold her line to the immediate outside of BARON REES or hold her position behind BARON REES for longer that she had prior to shifting out to improve. Her actions were not deemed culpable under the Rules and the explanation was noted.
Race 5: JM Kelly Project Builders St Patrick’s Day Open Handicap - 1200 metres
1st HOTEL PARADISO 2nd SCHOORWIN 3rd STAY THE NIGHT 4th - CLOUD DANCER
CLOUD DANCER - Began awkwardly and made heavy contact with another runner.
SCHOORWIN - Made heavy contact with another runner.
EL SUPREMO - Slow to begin.
LEO'S SPIRIT - Slow to begin.
DIRECT DEBIT - A pre-race veterinary examination cleared the gelding to race.
Race 6: Tony Madden Architects & Interiors BM 60 Handicap - 1500 metres
1st - SUPPOSING 2nd - SPIRIT BEAT 3rd - JOKERMAN 4th - PRICELESS HEART
BAZINSKY - Stood flat-footed and lost ground at the start. Trainer will be advised that he must provide a further barrier certificate prior to the gelding's next race start.
NORDIC STORY - Was fractious in the barriers, reared as the start was effected and lost ground. Trainer G. Peut will be advised that he must provide a barrier certificate prior to the mare being permitted to race again.
JOKERMAN - Commenced to hang out passing the 400 metres, near the 200 metres bumped BORN TO SURVIVE and was unable to be tested in the run to the finish. With regard to Jockey A. Coome’s whip action, he was reminded of his obligation regarding the use of his whip forward of the shoulder. Trainer L. Rowe was advised that the gelding must perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial prior to being permitted to race again.
