SEND THE MONEY – Began awkwardly and as a result was slow into stride. Pulled hard in the early and middle stages when racing in a rearward position and had to be checked off heels before shifting wider to improve under a strong hold leaving the 1100m. Continued to over race in the middle stages. Laid in when placed under pressure rounding the home turn and in the home straight. When questioned in relation to improving into a three-wide position near the 1100m and progressing forwards, apprentice B Johnson stated that her mount had commenced to pull extremely hard despite her efforts and as a result she raced close to heels so therefore elected to shift wider. Apprentice Johnson further added that she has ridden the mare in recent starts where SEND THE MONEY had behaved in a similar manner. Trainer B Trimble was advised that a warning would be placed against SEND THE MONEY’s record for its racing manners.

LUSTROUS SINS – Began awkwardly. Laid in when placed under pressure in the early stages of the home straight. Jockey C McIver pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR131(b) for failing to ride his mount out fully to the finish which compromised LUSTROUS SINS chances of finishing in fourth place.
