GENERAL

As jockey N Summers was not attending today’s meeting due to illness, rider replacements were made as per the steward’s race day summary. Ms Summers was advised that she is required to present a medical clearance prior to resuming riding.

Stewards approved the overweights which are listed in the Steward’s Race Day Summary.

Following a track inspection conducted by stewards prior to the running of race 1, the track was upgraded to a GOOD 4.

Due to the delay in race one, stewards in consultation with SKY Racing, races one to three start times were amended as follows:

Race 1: 1:10pm
Race 2: 1:35pm
Race 3: 2:05pm

Race 1: LIVE AND FREE MAIDEN HANDICAP (1300 M)

The start of this race was delayed when after being loaded in the barriers, RUN FREDA RUN became fractious and reared, dislodging jockey T Chambers before coming out the back of the barriers, escaping and running a short distance before breaking through the inside running rail near the 1400m. RUN FREDA RUN was then captured by the clerk of the course shortly afterwards and was declared a late scratching by the order of stewards at 12:49pm. On the declaration of correct weight, stewards ordered all bets placed on RUN FREDA RUN to be refunded with the following deductions to apply to all bets placed prior to 12.49pm:
