GENERAL

Due to this race meeting being postponed from yesterday and a number of riders becoming unavailable, late rider changes were approved by stewards as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.
 
Due to the forecast conditions, provisions of the QRIC Caring for Racing Animals in Extreme Heat Policy were implemented.
 
 
RACE 1: THOROUGHBRED BREEDERS AUSTRALIA CLASS 3 PLATE (1050 M)
 
KAI MONDO – Jumped away awkwardly. Laid outwards when placed under pressure over the final 100m.
 
RUSH HOUR – Jumped away awkwardly. Raced wide in the early stages. Shifted ground outwards under pressure in the home straight.
 
SHOW ME MERCY – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
 
MIMMY'S SECRET – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
PANIGALE – Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced greenly under pressure in the home straight. Jockey Ryan Wiggins advised that his mount travelled well in the early stages, however failed to respond to his riding efforts when placed under pressure in the home straight. The rider further added that he had made recommendations to connections regarding possible gear changes. Jockey Wiggins pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR211(1) for returning to scale in excess of half a kilogram overweight. Considering jockey Wiggins’ guilty plea, offence record and the minimum degree overweight involved, jockey Wiggins was fined $300.
 
 
RACE 2: RACING HEARTS EQUINE ASSISTED THERAPY OPEN HANDICAP (1100 M)
 
The start of this race was delayed due to the veterinarian being delayed to attend the start.
 
TRACK TALE – Jumped away awkwardly and was a fraction slow to begin.
 
MEDIA EMPIRE – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure in the home straight.
 
DOUBTING EYE – Jumped away awkwardly and was a fraction slow to begin. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
YUKAN ROSE – Jumped away awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
CATAIN FOX – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
 
RACE 3: THE INDUSTRY SCHOOL CLASS 5 HANDICAP (1400 M)
 
OUR TURN NOW (NZ) – Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
MOKTAFFY (IRE) – Jumped away awkwardly and was a fraction slow to begin. Raced keen early after obtaining the lead near the 1200m. Apprentice Gabrielle Semmens was fined $600 under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using her whip 9 times prior to the 100m, 12 times in totality. In determining penalty, stewards took into consideration her previous record in the last six months and the QRIC Whip Penalty Guidelines.

BAYERISCHE – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
NIGHTSTICK – Jumped away awkwardly. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight. Accidentally struck across the nasal area by the whip of jockey Ryan Wiggins between the 250m and the 200m.
 
SOFTEN IT UP – Raced keen in the early stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Jockey Tasha Chambers was fined $500 under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for applying the whip to her mount on 9 occasions prior to the 100m, 11 times in totality. In determining penalty, stewards took into account her record in the previous six months in relation to the whip rule and the QRIC Whip Penalty Guidelines.
 
 
RACE 4:GO BLOODSTOCK AUSTRALIA BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP (1100 M)
 
The start of this race was delayed due to the removal of a snake from the 800m steward’s tower.
 
DISCOVERED GOLD – Jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin as a result. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
FLYING ANIMO – Due to the delay at the start, stewards refrained from taking action against FLYING ANIMO for being reluctant to load. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
IMPACTFULL MISS – Knuckled shortly after the start. Raced wide throughout. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Jockey Warwick Satherley when questioned regarding the performance, advised that his mount began better than expected and as a result was trapped wide throughout, and added that in his view the mare was outclassed in today’s event.
 
NOBLE INTENT – Fractious in the barriers. Jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin as a result. Trainer’s representative, Nathan Schofield was advised that a warning has been placed against the gelding’s barrier manners. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
OFFICE POLITICS – Jumped away very awkwardly.
 
LOVE MY LOUIS – Jumped away very awkwardly. Commenced to race ungenerously in the middle stages and was eased from the heels of MOMENT OF TRUTH near the 700m. Inclined to lay inwards under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
RACE 5: TAB RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP (1300 M)
 
BOOM CRUSHER – Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
SANTORINI SUMMER – Jumped away awkwardly. Laid inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
HUMBLE HERO – Jumped away awkwardly. Laid outwards when placed under pressure in the home straight. Near the 50m shifted in when under pressure and briefly crowded MR GREY before being corrected by its rider.
 
MAKING HISTORY – Jumped away awkwardly and as a result was slow to begin.
 
MR GREY – Jumped away awkwardly. Raced ungenerously in the early stages when being restrained.
 
SHEEZA FLING – Jumped away awkwardly. Passing the 400m, overreacted and shifted out abruptly when being corrected by its rider when inclined to lay in.
 
ZOULY – Jumped away awkwardly. Jockey Tasha Chambers pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for applying the whip to her mount on 9 occasions prior to the 100m, 13 times in totality. Jockey Chambers license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 days, with the suspension to commence midnight 6th December 2025 and to conclude midnight 13th December 2025. In determining penalty, stewards took into account the QRIC Whip Penalty Guidelines.
 
MISS RINEHART – Jumped away awkwardly. Raced ungenerously in the early stages. Raced wide throughout.
 
 
RACE 6: NEW ZEALAND THOROUGHBRED RACING BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP (1600 M)
 
CHAPARRAL CHASE – Jumped away awkwardly. Over raced in the early and middle stages. Shifted outwards leaving the 400m despite the efforts of the rider and impeded FITZROY STREET (NZ). Rider accidentally struck across the arm by the whip of jockey Tasha Chambers (JAY BEE ELL) (NZ) near the 250m.
 
GENERAL WOLFFE – Slow to begin.
 
FITZROY STREET (NZ) – Slow to begin. Raced wide early. Hung in under pressure in the home straight and become awkwardly placed on the heels of CHAPARRAL CHASE leaving the 400m when that runner shifted outwards. As a consequence of this incident LEICA BITA FUN, which was racing to the inside was checked. Jockey Ryan Wiggins advised that his mount traveled reasonably well during the run, however when shifted wider to improve in the home straight the mare commenced to hang in and proved disappointing.
 
OUTTA CONTROL – Jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
SOUTHAVEN – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
JAY BEE ELL (NZ) – Jumped away awkwardly. Inclined to lay inwards when placed under pressure in the home straight. Jockey Tasha Chambers pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for applying her whip to her mount 9 times prior to the 100m, 16 times in totality. Jockey Chambers’ licence to ride in races was suspended with a period of 10 days. In relation to penalty start date, stewards determined that a period of three days from this suspension be served concurrently with the suspension incurred in race 5, therefore commencing this suspension at midnight 10th December 2025 and to conclude midnight. In determining penalty, stewards took into consideration the QRIC Whip Penalty Guidelines. Stewards were also mindful of Jockey Chambers’ poor record in relation to the whip rules with her breaches incurred within the previous six months, with now six prior breaches, and that she was penalized on three separate occasions at today’s meeting.   
 
LEICA BITA FUN – Jumped away awkwardly. Laid inwards under pressure in the home straight. Checked near the 350m when FITZROY STREET (NZ) shifted inwards.
