GENERAL

A number of runners accepted to compete at today’s meeting and all runners in race 7, the Sherrin Rentals 2026 The Archer, were subject to hair and blood sampling in the days preceding the meeting.

Following a track inspection conducted by stewards at 9:30am, areas of concern were identified as being inconsistent with the majority of the track racing surface. Following a further inspection with a delegate of senior riders and in consultation with representatives from the Rockhampton Amateurs Racing Club, Rockhampton Jockey Club and Racing QLD, stewards deemed the surface not suitable for racing to proceed and the meeting was postponed.
