Race 1 - JAIME PARNELL PSYCHOLOGY QTIS THREE-YEARS-OLD HANDICAP1050M
 
LA PREMIERE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Apprentice K Johnston reported that she was of the view that her mount was not suited to the firm track condition today.
 
ANOTHER CHAMPERS – Fractious to load. Began awkwardly and was bumped by BARBARIAN KING at the start. Over raced in the early and middle stages. Apprentice K Johnston was reminded of her obligations in relation to consecutive strikes with the whip prior to the 100m.

BARBARIAN KING – Jumped outwards at the start and bumped with ANOTHER CHAMPERS. Raced greenly under pressure in the home straight.

Stewards intend to question trainer S Kendrick regarding him scratching three of four runners accepted to race in race 1.

ATLAN - Began awkwardly.
 
BRITISH NAVY – Began awkwardly and bumped with EMINEM at the start. Raced wide in the early stages. Hung in under pressure in the home straight.

ENTERPRISE VALOUR – Began awkwardly.

EMINEN – Began awkwardly and bumped with BRITISH NAVY. Held up for clear racing room until a point leaving the 400m. Shifted out under pressure over the final 100m.
 
MOONSPELL – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
NEXT EXIT – Began awkwardly.

WHENHARRY METELSIE – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin as a result. Raced greenly under pressure in the home straight.

RATTLESNAKEWHISKEY – Brushed with RED SCENTSATION at the start.
 
RED SCENTSATION – Brushed with RATTLESNAKEWHISKEY at the start.
 
URBAN REALITY – Began awkwardly and blundered at the start. Hung in under pressure in the home straight. Cast the right hind shoe near the 600m. Jockey A Sewell reported that he felt his mount was not suited by the firm track conditions today.

 

Race 3 - GREAT NORTHERN CLASS 5 PLATE 1200M
 
KING'S DUTY - Began awkwardly. Jockey B Lerena reported that he felt his mount was not suited to the firm track conditions today.

WOLFGANG – Began awkwardly and shifted inwards hampering AMBERINGER. Shifted outwards under pressure over the final 100m. Jockey S Cormack was reminded of his obligation to ensure his mounts maintain a straight course under riding.

SENESCHAL (IRE) – Began awkwardly. Shifted out soon after the start and hampered LIMERO. Apprentice S Tierney reported that her mount felt awkward in its action on occasions during the run. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

AMBERINGER - Began awkwardly and was slow to begin asa result. Hampered after the start when WOLFGANG shifted inwards.
 
LIMERO – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin as a result. Hampered soon after the start when SENESCHAL (IRE) shifted outwards. Held up for clear racing room in the early part of the home straight. Improved onto the heels of MOOCHI STARLIGHT over the final stages and was unable to be fully tested to the finish. Apprentice K Johnston was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(i) for the use of her whip on 2 consecutive strides prior to the 100m.

OUTWITTED – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

MOOCHI STARLIGHT – Over raced in the early and middle stages.



Race 4 - CENTRE STATE SIGNS BM65 HANDICAP1050M
 
THEE CREEK – Began awkwardly and blundered. Laid in and away from TRIPLE TRIPLE rounding the turn near the 900m.

CRYOSEISMS – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
 
METALCRAFT – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the middle stages.

IDHANA – Began awkwardly. Laid in and away from THEE CREEK rounding the turn near the 900m. Laid in under pressure for the majority of the home straight. Briefly inconvenienced near the 100m when TRIPLE TRIPLE shifted outwards.

GOLDARNIE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after having not started in a race for an extended period and was cleared to start. Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced in restricted room for a number of strides near the 900m when IDHANA shifted in and away from THEE CREEK which laid in and away from TRIPPLE TRIPLE when that runner progressed forwards and was shifting inwards. Jockey W Satherley (TRIPLE TRIPLE) was reprimanded under AR131(a) for failing to ensure sufficient clearance to runners to his inside when crossing. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room until a point near the 200m.

TRIPLE TRIPLE – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Briefly held up for clear racing room near the 400m. Laid out under pressure in the home straight and briefly inconvenienced IDHANA near the 100m. When questioned in relation to the seemingly improved performance trainer K Smyth attributed the improved performance to a change of environment, being first up for the stable and the addition of earmuffs.

GILBERT'S GOLD – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after having not started in a race for an extended period and was cleared to start. Began awkwardly.

HELIKEDEMPRETTY – Began awkwardly. Raced in restricted room for a number of strides near the 900m when GOLDARNIE was carried in by IDHANA, which shifted in and away from THEE CREEK which laid in and away from TRIPPLE TRIPLE when that runner progressed forwards and was shifting inwards. Hung in under pressure in the home straight.
 



Race 5 - CAULFIELD CUP TICKETS ON SALE 0 - 55 HANDICAP 1100M
 
FUTURE SOLDIER – Began awkwardly and brushed with SNAZZY SNITZEL. Leaving the 200m was hampered for a run to the outside of SNAZZY SNITZEL for some distance. Inclined to lay in over the final stages.

LLAMA CHARMER – Raced wide thropughout.

SNAZZY SNITZEL – Began awkwardly and brushed with FUTURE SOLDIER. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Held up for clear racing roon until a point near the 400m. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

GOTTA HERO – Began awkwardly. It was noted that the rider dropped their whip leaving the 300m. Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
NEXT STOP JUPITER – Began awkwardly. Over raced in the early and middle stages.

BELVEDERE MISS – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin as a result.

BOTTOM BAR – Began awkwardly. Briefly held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight.
 
LITTLE FREDDY – Began awkwardly, shifted out abruptly resulting in jockey A Spinks losing use of his near side stirrup iron and becoming unbalanced for a considerable distance. Trainer N Vuille was advised that a warning has been issued against the starting manners of the gelding.

TENNER – Raced keenly in the early stages. Inclined to lay out under pressure in the home straight. Lost the left hind shoe in running.

MAKING HISTORY – Slow to begin.



Race 6 - TAB OPEN HANDICAP 1050M
 
MAXIMUM OUTPUT – Began awkwardly and shifted outwards hampering PAPASITO. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
MASTER MONTARO – Began awkwardly. Became awkward in its stride for a short distance rounding the 900m turn. Shifted inwards over the final stages and brushed with SARAQAEL before being corrected.

DEHORNED UNICORN – Raced wide throughout.

HURTLE – Began awkwardly and shifted outwards bumping RESURRECTED.

RESURRECTED – Began awkwardly and bumped with HURTLE at the start.

PAPASITO – Began awkwardly and was hampered at the start when MAXIMUM OUTPUT shifted outwards.

SARAQAEL – Began awkwardly. Brushed with MASTER MONTARO over the final stages when that runner shifted in before being corrected by its rider.



Race 7 - LJ HOOKER ROCKHAMPTON 0 - 55 HANDICAP1400 M
 
ALOYSIUS – Began awkwardly. Jockey S Cormack advised that he felt the geldings action was poor over the final 700m and therefore he did not persist to ride his mount out in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed minor lacerations to both forelegs which were deemed to be of nil significance. Trainer K Smyth was advised that the gelding has been stood down from racing until the completion of a satisfactory trial.

AUTUMN GALE – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced wide throughout. Hung in rounding the 900m turn and was eased wider from the heels of ALOYSIUS. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

REMEMBER THE BOYS – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

MR DEMOCRAT – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin as a result. Inclined to lay in under pressure over the final 200m.

NITROGEN – Began awkwardly.

PEAKING TOM – Began awkwardly. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor post-race recovery.

STROMBOLI DELIGHT – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages. Jockey A Spinks pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for applying the whip to his mount on 11 occasions prior to the 100m and 17 times in total. The license to ride in races of jockey Spinks was suspended for 11 days to commence midnight tonight and conclude at midnight 5th September 2026.

THE FRUITOLOGIST – Began awkwardly.

LUXOR PRINCE – Refused to leave the barriers and took no part in the event. Trainer T Cook was advised that LUXOR PRINCE has been stood down from racing until the completion of a satisfactory trial or jump out. Following the running of the race, apprentice N Olzard was examined by the QAS officers and was cleared of any injury inclusive of concussion. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the left nostril.

RED FEATHERS – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
