RACE 1: THE PATRONS: BETTY BATES, GRACE ARTHUR, BETTY GRIEVE QTIS M’DN PLATE 1000M-
1st-Northern Raider 2nd-Whataweapon 3rd-lizzeelavee 4th-Spirit of the bush

Due to a misunderstanding stewards permitted App. A Smith to replace App. K Gates as the rider of SPIRIT OF THE BUSH.

SNEAKY SECRET (C Bryen) reared in the barriers.

FLORIANA FILLY (J McKinnon) which began awkwardly was further hampered at the start and lost ground when KASALUCK (W Doyle) shifted in.

A warning was issued to DASHINGLY (A Lane) which jumped in the air at the start and raced ungenerously in the early stages of the event.

WHATAWEAPON (J Warrington) commenced to over race for a short distance near the 500m.

AUTHORITATIVE (L McCoy) made the home turn wide.

SPIRIT OF THE BUSH (A Smith) hung in over the final 100m.


RACE 2: RBS MORGANS CLASS 6 PLATE 1000M-
1ST-I’ll Rule 2nd-Emmeritt 3rd-Frostinoss 4th-Falvalea

I’LL RULE (A Smith) was slow to begin.

FROSTINOSS (K Gates) hung out whilst over racing near the 500m.

The saddle on BEAUTIFUL NOCOLA (J Oakes) slipped shortly after the start placing the rider at a disadvantage. On pulling up J Oakes was dislodged as the saddle slipped further. Jockey Oakes was examined by the ambulance officials and was declared fit to ride in the next race.

RACE 3: STATHAM CHEESMAN CLASS B H’CAP 1000M-
1ST-Reggie’s Halo 2nd-Meghani 3rd-Garrison Gold 4th-McCaskell

SPIRITS ON US (K Gates) which reared at the start and lost considerable ground, raced wide throughout.

CRAIGLEA FAITH (R Faehr) was slow to begin.

LAYBURN LADY (J Oakes) commenced to over race near the 500m.

MEGHANI (A Lane) shifted out at the 100m forcing GARRISON GOLD (J McKinnon) wider on the track.

Following this event J Oakes was stood down from his remaining engagements after complaining of soreness as a result of being dislodged in race 2. Jockey Oakes was advised that he will be required to obtain a Medical Certificate prior to next riding.



RACE 4: CARLTON MID OPEN H’CAP 1200M-
1st-Craiglea Tina 2nd-Montanus 3rd-Flying Along 4th-Cash In A Hurry

As J Oakes was indisposed he was replaced as the rider of TUNE HIM UP by J Warrington.

OBLIVATOR (A Lane) was slow to begin.

FLYING ALONG (B Thomson) began awkwardly.
ZAHBAJ (L McCoy) jumped out at the start making contact with WILD HERO (K Gates).

Jockey A Lane reported to Stewards that in his opinion OBLIVIATOR felt short in its action during the event. A post race Veterinary Inspection failed to reveal any abnormalities.



RACE 5: DA ROBINSON JEWELLERS CLASS 3 H’CAP 1200M-
1st-Dancefloor Prodigy 2nd-Boyng 3rd-The Gadget Man 4th-Frisco Affair

As R Kerwin was not riding due to personal reasons she was replaced as the ride of VALLEY MOON by J Warrington.

As J Oakes was indisposed he was replaced as the rider of BRUNCHER by C Maund.

DANCEFLOOR PRODIGY (A Lane) dipped badly at the start and lost ground.

CRAIGLEA GAL (R Faehr) began awkwardly losing ground.

VALLEY MOON (J Warrington) raced wide during the middle stages of the event.
