RACE 2: GALLIPOLI CLASS B H’CAP
After considering evidence tendered; Apprentice B. Mackie rider of FOXY BELLE was fined $100 under AR227(a) in that she was negligent by supplying the incorrect saddlecloth to trainer W. Baker.
Race 1 - BROWN & HURLEY / MOUNTS MACHINERY MAIDEN PLATE – 1000m
PRINCESS RACER – Slow to begin. Raced wide with cover from the 600m.
INSIDE INFORMATION – Over raced for a short distance approaching the 600m. Shifted out leaving the 600m and continued to race five wide without cover for the remainder.
AUSBRED DREAM – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
SPECIAL RECRUIT – Raced ungenerously for a short distance approaching the 800m. Raced wide without cover throughout.
Race 2 - RURAL INSURANCE SERVICES BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP – 1000m
YOKAI – Began awkwardly.
BLINKIN DUSTY – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the outside.
PLAYBOOK – Bumped by another runner upon jumping. Approaching the 600m shifted in placing THE CONSIGLIERE in restricted room. Jockey S. McGovern was reprimanded for careless riding under AR 131(a).
THE CONSIGLIERE – Raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages. Placed in restricted room and lost ground approaching the 600m.
BAILNE – Knuckled upon jumping.
RYTHYM NATION – Raced wide without cover throughout.
SONA DANCER – Jumped in the air at the start and lost ground. Raced wide without cover throughout.
Race 3 - WESTERN WHOLESALERS BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP – 1200m
GOLOVKIN – Inclined to lay out during the early and middle stages.
SISTER JOY – Slow to begin.
EXCEED ALL ODDS – Dislodged its rider at the barriers and broke free from the attendants subsequently making contact with the perimeter fence. A pre-race veterinary examination passed the runner fit to start. Began awkwardly.
IT’S WANTED – Began awkwardly.
Race 4 - ROMA TYRE & BATTERY OPEN PLATE – 1640m
YEEZY – Slow to begin. Eased from heels for a short distance approaching the 1500m. raced wide without cover from the 600m.
No further racing incidents.
Race 5 - ROMA SPACE AND STORAGE BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1640m
MAGMELLOU – Pulled up by its rider approaching the 700m taking no further part in the event. Apprentice B. Mackie advised that in her opinion the gelding felt as though it has broken down and as a result, she elected to stop riding. A post –race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Due to the submission’s put forward by Apprentice Mackie and the advice of the on course veterinarian, Stewards advised Trainer W. Pugsley that the gelding would require a veterinary certificate and a 1000m gallop in front of stewards prior to returning to race.
No Further racing incidents.
