GENERAL
 
 
Race 1: XXXX GOLD BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 900M
 
 
STELLAR WAY- was slow to begin.
 
HANGRY- began awkwardly then travelled three -wide with no cover for the majority of the race.
 
EIL’N’ALL- began awkwardly then travelled three- wide with cover during the middle stages of the event.
 
PLENTY OF TICKER- raced extremely wide for the majority of the event.
 
 
Race 2: XXXX DRY MAIDEN PLATE 1200M
 
 
BEAN FORTUNATE-after the race Trainer J Brand reported to Stewards that the gelding had bled from both nostrils. A post- race veterinary examination revealed the horse had bled from both nostrils and as a result the horse is not permitted to start in a race for three (3) month and would be required to undergo a 1000m gallop in the presence of Stewards.
 
HIMSELF- was slow to begin and became tailed off from the 800m point. Stewards spoke with Trainer M Kropp regarding the seemingly disappointing performance of the gelding. Mr Kropp advised he was disappointed in the run and that once the horse missed the start, it wasn’t suited by the conditions today did resent the kickback. Stewards noted Mr Kropp’s explanation.
 
SHE MEANS BUSINESS- the start was delayed with the mare proving difficult to load. Trainer Mr C Storch was advised by stewards the horse would be required to pass a trial prior to its next start to the satisfaction of stewards.
 
CAJUN LADY- shifted out to improve from the 500m and then travelled wide from the 400m point for the remainder of the event.
 
 
Race 3: WHITE CLAW OPEN PLATE 1000M
 
 
VJ DAY- leaving the 800m hung in for a short distance.
 
SHINJI- raced three- wide with no cover for the majority of the race.
 
MINTED- was slow to begin.
 
 
 
Race 4: HAHN SUPER DRY 3.5 QTIS CLASS 3 PLATE 1200M
 
 
BLACK STREAM- raced four- wide without cover for the majority of the event.
 
COAT OF ARMS- over-raced during the early stages while being restrained.
 
PACKAGE- slow to begin.
 
SALAZAR- was slow to begin then travelled wide with no cover for the majority.
 
SATINE- travelled three- wide with no cover during the middle stages of the race.
 
 
Race 5: JAMES SQUIRE GINGER BEER BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1640M
 
 
GONZO- G GERAN- slow to begin, raced three- wide with no cover for the majority of the event.
 
JERRY ZANDA- S CHAMPKIN (a)- began awkwardly.
 
ZABCAN- O WEBB (a)- shifted out when negotiating the home turn then raced extremely wide for the remainder, finishing the race off strongly.
 
GHETTO BOY- L MILLER- gradually lost ground during the middle stages despite the urgings of the rider to improve its position and then appeared to weaken and raced disappointingly from that point. A post-race Veterinary examination was undertaken with no abnormalities detected.
