As Noel Callow and Larry Cassidy were unable to attend the meeting, changes were permitted as per raceday summary.
 
Race 1: XXXX DRY QTIS 2YO C1 HCP - 1050m
 
HEROIC SON – Apprentice A Thompson reported that HEROIC SON failed to handle the track conditions.
 
COCOBREW EXPRESS – Slow to begin.
 
Race 2: SKY RACING MDN PLT - 1650m
 
SHADY SHAMUS – Stood flat footed and was slow to begin.
 
CANNY IMPACT – Raced wide throughout.
 
COERCED – Slow to begin.
 
Race 3: TAB VENUE MODE F&M C1 HCP - 1200m
 
SPIRIT RICH – Bounded on jumping and lost ground. Apprentice L Kilner stated her mount failed to handle today’s track conditions.
 
MY ODDETTE (NZ) – Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
XUANNU – Pulled hard during the middle stages.
 
Race 4: WRITTEN BY - 1ST YEARLINGS SELLING 2022 BM65 HCP – 2050M
 
MOTAMAYIZ (GB) – Raced wide throughout.
 
KHAALIS (IRE) – Slow to begin.
 
LADY SOLERNO – Raced wide throughout.
 
IPSO NEM FELEK – Restrained from the wide barrier to take up a position closer to the rail. Held up rounding the home turn.
 
CONSULAR – When questioned regarding the performance, jockey T Marshall stated that his instructions were to make use of his barrier and attempt to race on the speed. He added his mount failed to respond to his early aggressive riding and therefore raced in a rearward position. He added that in his opinion, his mount failed to handle the track conditions today.
 
Race 5: LYNDON KEANE MEDIA C5 HCP – 1050m
 
TOOROOLOO – Overraced in the early stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed slight muscle soreness in the left hind. Trainer D Vandyke undertook to report back to stewards on the condition of TOOROOLOO in the days subsequent.
 
Race 6: MAGIC MILLIONS CATALOGUE OUT NOW CG&E C1 HCP - 1200m
 
TITANIUM – Inclined to hang in when placed under pressure in the home straight. Jockey S Cormack reported that TITANIUM was making an abnormal breathing sound upon pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed atrial fibrillation. Trainers’ representative for B Lockwood was advised that TITANIUM would require a veterinary certificate with the results of an ECG produced prior to the gelding starting in any event and TITANIUM would also be required to officially barrier trial.
 
HOT ESCORT – Slow to muster speed.
 
CHIEF MONDO – When questioned regarding the performance jockey J Orman stated that his mount travelled well during the event, however when placed under pressure, CHIEF MONDO failed to respond and as a result he elected not to place his mount under any more pressure.
 
Race 7: ENCRYPTION FIRST YEARLINGS AT MAGIC MILLIONS BM75 HCP - 1650m
 
SPECTROSCOPE (USA) – Pulled hard in the early stages.
 
THE TAX ACCOUNTANT – Slow to begin.
 
GLEN ORD – Declared a late scratching at 9.02am when Trainer D Murphy was unable to attend the meeting due to road closures in the area.
 
TWO SMOKIN BARRELS – Laid in under pressure in the early parts of the home straight.
 
DRUMADOIR – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
JACK THE LAD – Hung out throughout the early stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealedatrial fibrillation. Trainers’ representative B Killion was advised that JACK THE LAD would require a veterinary certificate with the results of an ECG produced prior to the gelding starting in any event and JACK THE LAD would also be required to officially barrier trial.
