Jockey Orman stated that he was mindful of allowing his mount to settle into stride and when approaching the 1400m he failed to anticipate that KUTAYHA would shift out, which momentarily forced his mount wider and ultimately caused him to steady and settle one position further back. Jockey Orman added that whilst he lost his position, he was satisfied to be trailing KUTATHA which he expected would take him into the race. Jockey Orman also added that it had not been his intention to pressure the horse from the 600m to improve however he was not satisfied with the manner in which KUTAYHA which he was following was travelling at that point of the race. Stewards accepted Jockey Orman’s explanation.
