Race 1: ACCESS INSULATION SUNSHINE COAST QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1100 metres
 
The start of this event was delayed approximately 2 minutes when a number of runners proved difficult to load.
 
THE HOFF – Fractious leaving the enclosure and again fractious on arrival at the start prior to being loaded into the barriers. Jumped in at the start and bumped heavily with OLYMPIC MOTTO. When asked to comment rider B Loy advised the horse raced greenly at various stages of the event and may not have been suited to the synthetic racing surface.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
 
HOLY TROJAN – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
PERFECT POWER – From the wide barrier was restrained at the start to a rearward trailing position closer to the rails. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
TAPILDOODLEDO – Slow to begin.
 
ZESTAR – Rider S Cormack reported the horse was inclined to lay out throughout the event.
 
OLYMPIC MOTTO – Bumped heavily at the start with THE HOFF. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
 
 
Race 2: MARTIN COLLINS AUSTRALIA Fillies and Mares Class 3 Handicap 1400 metres
 
GOLDSCHLAGER – Held up approaching the home turn.
 
MISS JUVENILE – After becoming fractious when being transported to the track underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start. At the request of the rider underwent a veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers and was cleared to start.
 
INSPIRATION – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Held up approaching the home turn.
 
BIZOU – Raced wide in the early stages of the event.Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
VALUE ABBEY – Slow to begin. As S Tomlinson was to be overweight, Stewards permitted J Cornish to ride the horse. S Tomlinson was fined $100 under AR190(3) for accepting a ride when overweight.
 
 
 
Race 3: BARRIER REEF POOLS Colts, Geldings and Entires Class 3 Handicap 1400 metres
 
TORBRECK – Bumped at the start and taken out.
 
ZOU KACANARKIS – Over-raced for a short distance approaching the 1100m.
 
JENO – After being slow to begin was then crowded between runners and lost ground.
 
FEND OFF – Raced four wide without cover for the majority of the event.
 
CALDWELL – Jumped out at the start.
 
I'M THE BUSINESS – Jumped in at the start and shortly after was turned inwards when bumped on the hindquarters.
 
GALVARINO – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event.
 
 
 
Race 4: LIEBKE BUILDERS Maiden Handicap 1400 metres
 
RENAULT – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
DU JOUR IDEA – On arrival at the barriers the saddle was adjusted. Became unbalanced and lost ground on number of occasions in the early and middle stages of the event. Rider S Tomlinson reported the horse was inclined to race greenly and may not have appreciated racing on the synthetic surface. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer I Turner was advised a warning would be placed on the racing manners of DU JOUR IDEA.
 
ROSE GISELLE – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare had bled from both nostrils for the first time. Trainer C Munce was advised ROSE GISELLE would be stood down from racing under AR79(4) for a period of 3 months and must gallop 1000m in the presence of a Steward prior to its next race start. Lost near hind plate in running.
 
HUSH PUPPY – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
ENOLABA – Change of tactics, more forward today if circumstances permit. After being slow to begin and unable to muster speed in the early stages settled in the second half of the field.
 
BAY'S SPIRIT – Over-raced in the early and middle stages of the event.
 
RED JASPER – On arrival at the barriers the saddle was adjusted. After being loaded into the barriers, kicked out behind, was removed, underwent a veterinary examination, and was cleared to start. Slow to begin. Rider M Hellyer reported the horse laid out from the 500m.
 
 
Race 5: TAB Class 5 Handicap 1600 metres
 
GENTLE PRINCE – Over-raced in the early and middle stages, had to be restrained from heels leaving the 1000m and as a result shifted out and obliged to race wide for the remainder of the event.
 
HALLOWED GIRL – Raced wide in the middle stages of the event.
 
TOO MUCH CLASS – Slow to begin. Held up for clear running between the 600m and approaching the 400m.
 
POINT THE WAGON – Over-raced in the early stages of the event.
 
ROUND OF APPLAUSE – Over-raced in the early stages of the event.
 
MY ZEBRINKA – Crowded between runners and lost ground on jumping.
 
WAIKATO – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
 
 
Race 6: DOUBLE R GROUP Class 1 Handicap 1600 metres
 
VANBLITZEM – Rider K Wilson-Taylor reported the horse hung out throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer K Schweida was advised a warning would be placed on VANBLITZEM’s racing manners.
 
RICHUNCLEMONEYBAGS – Approaching the 1400m checked from the heels of GRINZINGER KNIGHT. Apprentice M McPherson, rider of GRINZINGER KNIGHT, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that she permitted her mount to shift in when not clear ofRICHUNCLEMONEYBAGSapproaching the 1400m which had to be checked.The licence of E McPherson to ride in races was suspended for a period of 12 days to commence midnight 17th September up to and including midnight 29th September 2022. Rider B Thompson reported the horse failed to respond when placed under pressure from the 600m and was disappointing, adding that RICHUNCLEMONEYBAGS may not have backed up from its most recent start at SCTC meeting on 4th September 2022.
 
AGENT OF MAYHEM – Crowded between runners on jumping and had to be steadied. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
BEG ME – Slow to begin.
 
BOOM CHUGGA LUGGA – Rider W Peel reported the horse was making an abnormal respiratory noise on pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer P Duff advised Stewards connections would now review the immediate racing future of BOOM CHUGGA LUGGA.
 
 
 
Race 7: BUTLER MCDERMOTT LAWYERS RATINGS BAND 0 – 60 Handicap 1100 metres
 
MISHANI ESPRIT – Obliged to alter course at the entrance to the home straight to secure clear running.
 
CLAUDIUS – Commenced to over-race near 800m until a point near the 600m.
 
RUN THE CUTTER – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
KAKATIYA – Slow to begin.
