Trainer T. Thomas was fined $200 pursuant to LR67(1) for failing to declare the rider of PROBLEMATICAL by the prescribed time.
RACE 1: SUNSHINE COAST FLOORING XTRA MAIDEN PLATE 1100 M
EXOBRAZEN – Raced three wide throughout. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
ENDLESS ELLIEGANCE – Began awkwardly. Commenced to weaken passing the 300m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
BRAIDWOOD ROSE - Passing the 600m shifted in when racing in restricted room.
IMZADA - Approaching the 800m laid out.
KALIZMA - Raced three wide throughout.
NEXT EXIT - Held up in the early part of the home straight and then when approaching the 250m shifted out to improve.
RACE 2: QEBS MAIDEN PLATE 1400 M
BACIAMI - Rider K. Wilson-Taylor pleaded guilty to a charge purusant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on 9 occasions prior to the 100m and 13 in totality. Rider K. Wilson-Taylor license to ride in races was suspended for a period of seven (7) days, commencing midnight 6th June 2026 and concluding midnight 13th June 2026.
MORT'S HOPE - Began awkwardly, hampered and then blundered after contacting the heel of THRASH A BULLY, which had shifted out. Commenced to weaken on entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
MOTIVATING - Raced wide throughout.
THRASH A BULLY - Began awkwardly and shifted out.
MOMOKA (NZ) - Raced wide throughout.
On pulling up Apprentice J. Busuttin was dislodged. J. Busuttin was examined by QAS Officials and subsequently cleared to fulfil her remaining engagements.
RACE 3: CHOMLEY FAMILY LAW BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 2000 M
WATERMELON - When asked to comment on the performance rider K. Wilson-Taylor reported the gelding raced flat and did not respond to his riding when put under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
EMPIRE OF ART (GER) - Inclined to lay in when under pressure in the home straight.
PAPAL MISS - A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
RACE 4: BETA WELLNESS BENCHMARK 72 HANDICAP 1000 M
RISE OF THE MASSES - Began awkwardly and lost ground.
KING SPIRIT - Shortly after the start buffeted between MISHANI EGO and RISE OF THE MASSES. Held up in the early part of the straight before shifting in near the 250m in order to improve.
I AM VOODOO - Approaching the 600m was checked when awkwardly placed on the heels of KING SPIRIT, which when over racing and awkwardly placed at the heels of BLITZWATER shifted in.
BLITZWATER - Raced wide throughout.
RACE 5: ELECTROLUX RATINGS BAND 0 - 62 HANDICAP 1100 M
JUNGLE FEVER – Raced wide throughout.
MARATHIA – Over raced in the early stages. Near the 50m bumped with RIVA D’AMOR.
CAUSEWAYS - Slow into stride.
FITZROY STREET (NZ) - Approaching the home turn raced in restricted room to the inside of JUNGLE FEVER and CAUSEWAYS which laid out slightly.
A TOUCH FROM FAYT - Raced wide throughout.
RIVA D'AMOR - Near the 50m bumped with MARATHIA.
RACE 6: SUNSHINE MITRE 10 BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP 1400 M
IKASARA - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to having raced at the Sunshine Coast on 29th May 2026.
ORIENTE – Over raced in the early and middle stages and was inclined to lay out. When asked to comment on the performance Apprentice F. Sandkuhl reported that her mount was inclined to lay out, did not appreciate racing inside other runners and resented the kick back.
DENETTA - Slow to begin.
NORTH CHANNEL – Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
RACE 7: STEPS BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1400 M
WARNA - Raced wide throughout. Trainer S. Kendrick was reprimanded purusant to AR106(a) for presenting the gelding without blinkers which are a part of the geldings declared gear.
ROYAL GLADIATOR - Began awkwardly and shifted in. Raced wide throughout.
VREDEFORT (NZ) - Began awkwardly and shifted in before being bumped and becoming unbalanced. Was held up rounding the home turn before being disappointed for a run approaching 250m between WARNA and ROYAL GLADIATOR.
IHAVESEENTHELIGHT – Began awkwardly and bumped shortly after the start. Over raced in the middle stages before being steadied from heels near the 1200m and then continued to over race for some distance.
AIMA SUN – Declared a late scratching at 4:53pm due to transport difficulties.
STATE A FACT – Held up in the early part of the home straight before shifting in near the 250m to improve.
GALACTIC LEGEND – Began awkwardly then buffeted between runners and lost ground. Raced wide throughout.
COCO JEWEL - Declared a late scratching at 4:53pm due to transport difficulties.
THE LOVE OF MARY - Tightened between runners on jumping and lost ground.
RACE 8: FTA ACCOUNTANTS CLASS 1 PLATE & MAIDEN PLATE 1600 M
The running of this race was delayed eight (8) minutes when PROBLEMATICAL, reared and flipped over whilst being loaded. PROBLEMATICAL was subsequently declared a late scratching on stewards order at 6:22pm.
Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards declared that all bets placed on PROBLEMATICAL be refunded with the following deductions to apply:
1st – DOUBLE WHAMMY 24c win 12c place
2nd – UCELLE 20c place
3rd – TWILIGHT STEPS 24c place
Trainer T. Thomas was advised PROBLEMATICAL would be required to trial to stewards satisfaction prior to racing again.
Rider B. Thompson was assessed by QAS Officials and advised he would require a medical clearance prior to fulfilling his next riding engagements.
BIG TECH - Declared a late scratching at 5:48pm due to transport difficulties.
DOUBLE WHAMMY - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to having raced at the Sunshine Coast on 29th May 2026. J. Bayliss was reprimanded purusant to AR128(2) for failing to obtain stewards approval before leaving the course.
HE IS THE KISS - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to being delayed in transit.
ROARING SUCCESS – Held up rounding the home turn.
WEEKEND ARTIST - Approaching the 300m bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.
NAMARA (NZ) – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to being delayed in transit.
UCELLE - Rider T. Brooker was fined $500 pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using her whip 6 times prior to the 100m and 16 in totality.
TWILIGHT STEPS – Held up in the early part of the home straight.
CANBECOSTLY – Apprentice C. Sutherland was reprimanded purusant to AR132(6)(c) for using his whip when out of contention. Apprentice C. Sutherland was further reprimanded pursuant to AR128(2) in that he failed to obtain stewards approval before leaving the course.
