SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

Connections advised that Rothera had suffered an injury to its off-side eye, which required treatment.
From SCTC, 15.2.15
Connections advised that following the poor performance of Not A Singlemoment, the mare was showing signs of being in season.
Connections of Show A Noee advised would now be retired from racing following its poor performance.

Trainer D. Bougoure was fined $200 for having 2 unregistered staff at his stables, and a further $200 for failing to present a treatment book upon request

GENERAL
As K. Wharton was indisposed, riding changes were made as per the Stewards' Summary Sheet.
Race 1: HMR QTIS 2yo H'cap – 1200m
The start of the race was delayed due to A REAL HEARTBREAKA proving difficult to load.
WILL HE TORQUE – Slow to begin. Inconvenienced by another runner near the 1000m.
DEMESNE – Hung out upon entering the home straight and became awkward on heels for a short distance.
SAYS ME – Raced greenly in the early stages of the home straight and made contact with another runner.
MONTANA STAR - Raced greenly in the early stages of the home straight and made contact with another runner.
BIG DOLLARS – Rider T. Harrison reported her mount raced greenly throughout the race.
SAGA MISS – Stewards sought an explanation from rider B. Stewart regarding the performance of the horse, which trailed the field throughout. He stated the filly resented being struck by clods when racing back in the field on the rain-affected surface, and following this would not stretch out. Trainer P. Hulbert advised that the filly would now be sent for an immediate spell. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
Race 2: Campaign Group F&M Maiden H'cap – 1300m
The start of this race was delayed when PURE DIAMOND broke through the barriers. The horse was quickly recaptured, examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to race. the horse also required to be resaddled before taking its place in the field. Trainer T. Miller was advised that the horse must trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start.
QUATTRO PASSI – Change of tactics. To be ridden in a more handy position if circumstances permit. The horse was ridden accordingly. Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
GREY OPINION – Slow to begin.
PURE DIAMOND – Slow to begin.
RED’S THE GO – Inconvenienced by another runner near the 500m.
POP BUBBLE POP – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
BERNINDI - Rider T. Harrison advised that at no stage did the horse travel comfortably in the rain affected conditions and did not respond to her riding from the 600m onwards.
EASY ALPHA – Bled during the race. Connections were advised that the horse would be barred from racing for a period of 3 months.
Race 3: McGrath Estate Agents CG & E Maiden H'cap – 1300m
MASTER CAT – Declared a late scratching at 1.10 pm due to the downgrading of the track.
MEROVECH - Declared a late scratching at 1.20 pm due to the downgrading of the track. All monies invested on Merovech were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable.

2 cents in the dollar for 2nd place #4

RAPID BOY – Steadied to avoid heels near the 1000m. Rider reported his mount did not handle the rain affected conditions and was under pressure throughout the event.
SYAMANTAKA – Rider R. McMahon reported that his mount never handled the rain affected track today.
BOCEPHUS – Apprentice jockey M. McGuren was fined $200 for using his whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.
DANCING WARRIOR – Rider B. Stewart was fined $300 for using his whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.
Race 4: The Pump House F&M Class 3 H'cap – 1400m
WHATALOVELYDAY – Slow to begin.
TEARS – Raced 3 wide without cover.
AIR DIAMOND – Rider T. Bell reported that his mount failed to handle the rain affected conditions and also that his saddle slipped shortly after the start.
FRILLY CURTAIN – Rider T. Harrison advised that her mount failed to handle the rain affected conditions.
ASADAUSKAITE – Rider D. Browne reported that the horse did not handle the rain affected conditions and when asked for an effort leaving the 600m shortened stride and weakened over the concluding stages.
Race 5: Prodigy Promotional Merchandise & Workwear CG&E Class 3 H'cap – 1400m
ARMOURED – Declared a late scratching at 12.15 pm due to the downgrading of the track.
ALL THINGS IN TIME – Declared a late scratching at 12.35 pm due to the downgrading of the track.
UMASAGA – Declared a late scratching at 1.15 pm due to the downgrading of the track.
GET ON DOWN – Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide throughout.
BIRDIE BLITZ – Became awkward at heels of another runner approaching the 500m and had to be steadied.
ROYAL OCCASION – Jockey M. Cahill reported his mount travelled comfortably until being placed under pressure entering the home straight, and then failed to stretch out over the concluding stages. He felt this could be attributed to the rain affected conditions.
EARNEST DESIRE – Rider R. Fradd reported his mount failed to handle the rain affected conditions.
Race 6: Greensill Concreting & Pumping Class 3 Plate – 1000m
KOLONGA – Declared a late scratching at 1.40 pm due to the downgrading of the track.
ROMAN WATERS – Blundered on jumping away.
ENVIRONMENTAL – Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.
ENDLESS PUZZLE – Slow to begin.
Following the running of Race 6, after consultation with riders who rode in this event, stewards were satisfied that the track had deteriorated, and with ongoing rain felt that the meeting should be abandoned at 3.45 pm.
