Iverson undertook to report to stewards the results of veterinary tests he intends to have carried out on the gelding.

Byrne indicated that when placed under pressure between runners in the home straight the gelding was reluctant to improve and it was not until being shifted wider passing the 200m when the horse commenced to respond to his riding. He added that he had recommended to connections to experiment with the addition of blinkers prior to its next race start.
GRACEVILLE – Jockey D. Griffin reported that his mount overraced in the lead and it was his view that the horse would be better suited to racing over shorter distances at this stage of its career.

BARONESS ZEENA – Slow to begin.
HIDDEN NATURE – Overraced in the early stages.

NICKED AND COURT – Caught wide in the early stages before being ridden forward to take up a position outside the lead when passing the 800m.

COURT’S STAR – Jockey B. Stewart pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, in that near the 1400m he directed his mount inwards at that point of the race knowingly forcing another runner in after making heavy contact with that horse, causing jockey J. Byrne to check MOSHULU away from the heels of COURT’S STAR and lose ground at that point of the race. Jockey Stewart was suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 10 meetings, to commence at midnight, 1 August and to expire at midnight, 15 August 2015.
TOUCH OF BELLA – Jockey T Bell reported he had been instructed to position the horse closer to the lead, however in the early stages he elected to steady as he felt he would be caught 3 wide if he continued to press forward.
SAMBUCCA SHOT – Overraced in the early stages and was inclined to hang out.
BRIALKA LODGE – A post race veterinary examination of the horse, which tailed off, revealed the gelding to lame in the off hind leg. Trainer T. Miller was advised that a veterinary clearance will be required prior to its next race start.

VOODOO BLUE MAGIC – Restrained after the start and directed back to the fence at an acute angle and had to be checked after making heavy contact with the running rail near the 1100m. Apprentice S. Payne was reprimanded for the carelessness shown.
ROMANAMA – Steadied leaving the 900m when placed in restricted room. Trainer D. Forster was questioned regarding the improved performance in winning today. She indicated that at the horse’s most recent start it had been caught wide in the early stages before being ridden forward, and this had a detrimental effect on the performance. Mrs Forster also added that at the horse’s first start back from a spell, which was at Ipswich, it performed disappointingly, however she stated that it had not performed well at this venue in the past. She also felt that the removal of blinkers for the horse’s start today allowed it to settle more comfortably, and the addition of the tongue-tie may have been beneficial to the performance.
