Race 1: Slade Bloodstock Pty Ltd Maiden H’cap – 1600m
 
SECRET SITES – Slow to begin.
 
KINGAROY – Began awkwardly.   Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight.
 
ESOR – Slow to begin and crowded for room at the start.
 
OMNIA TIDAK TAKUT – Overraced in the early stages.
 
BOUCHARD – Tightened  approaching the 1400m when cramped for racing room by JET’N’WILD, which laid in.  Momentarily held up when disappointed for a run after straightening.
 
SECRET AGENT MAN– Had a tendency to lay out under pressure in the home straight.
 
HIDDEN ACTION – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
 
 
 
 
Race 2: Blacklaw & Blake Enterprises Pty Ltd QTIS 3yo Fillies Maiden Plate – 1000m
 
MISS MELRAE – Slow to begin. Approaching the 150m shifted out abruptly, unbalancing its rider.
 
OSMOSIS – Began awkwardly and made contact with the barrier partition and lost some ground.
 
HOTSIE TOTSIE – Slow to begin.
 
LOUISE OF GLENCOE – Hampered between runners on jumping away.
 
YEAHNAH – Held up rounding the home turn.  Raced greenly over the concluding stages. Cast its near fore plate in running.
 
KEEP YOUR ROSES – Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight.
 
SHES AN EAGER LASS – Had a tendency to lay in under pressure after passing the 200m. A post race veterinary examination revealed signs of heat stress.
 
 
Race 3: Coastal Flooring Xtra Class 1 H’cap – 1000m
 
MAKUBA – Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the horse after it became fractious in the tie-up stalls and was reluctant to proceed to the enclosure.  Had a tendency to lay in throughout.
 
SEQUALO’S SPIRIT – Slow into stride and failed to muster early speed.  When questioned, jockey D. Browne stated that  the colt got further back in the field than he anticipated, however travelled reasonably well without looking like the winner and, in his opinion would appreciate a step up in distance in its future races.
 
JELLYBEAN – Began awkwardly and made contact with the barrier partition.
 
BOGEY MAN – Slow to begin.  Passing the 800m had to be steadied when cramped for room to the inside of MAKUBA, which laid in.
 
SILENT FLYER – Tightened when MAKUBA  laid in despite the efforts of its rider passing the 800m.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race 4: Coastal Style Constructions Benchmark 65 H’cap – 1800m
 
ROCKET ON BOARD – Slightly cramped for room passing the 800m when KID CRUIZE shifted in.
 
GLEN ORD – Had to be steadied from the heels of  ROCKET ON BOARD on a number of occasions  passing the 800m.  Held up and disappointed when attempting a run rounding the home turn between CAPTAIN DODGE and BALTIC PRINCE.
 
CAPTAIN DODGE – Bumped by GLEN ORD and became unbalanced passing the 400m.
 
BALTIC PRINCE – Had a tendency to lay in passing the 1200m and continued to do so for the remainder of the event.  Apprentice J. Murphy was fined $300  for using his whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.  In assessing penalty stewards took into account his good record regarding whip use offences.
 
 
Race 5: JLP Fabrication Class 1 H’cap – 1400m
 
BIDZILL – Slow to begin. Laid in passing the 1200m and brushed the running rail.  Held up from the 450m to a point passing the 200m, then obliged to shift wider on the track to obtain clear running.
 
 
Race 6: Pitchers Hospitality Supplies Maiden H’cap – 1200m
 
MASTER MAGIC AL – Slow to begin. Then commenced to overrace when jockey M. McGillivray attempted to restrain to take up a trailing position and was unable to race with cover and subsequently  raced 4 wide throughout.  Jockey McGillivray explained that he endeavoured to obtain cover on the back of SHE’S A MITZY, however as the gelding was overracing he was unable to restrain safely and therefore was obliged to race 4 wide for the remainder.
 
FATAL RENDEZVOUS – Overraced in the early and middle stages and got its head up on several occasions when being restrained. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
SHE’S A MITZY – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
 
 
Race 7: South East Civil Class 4 H’cap – 1200m
 
LITTLESNITZ – Threw its head in the air at the start and lost some ground..  Got its head up and overraced for a short distance passing the 800m.  Jockey r. Stewart advised that he recommend to connections to experiment with gear changes to the mare  prior to its race start.
 
PRECISION STRIKE – After being caught wide in the early stages, restrained to obtain a position with cover approaching the 900m.
 
 
 
Race 8: Sto Law. Part Of The Slater + Gordon Group Benchmark 75 H’cap – 1400m
 
LEGENDARY LUKE – Stewards accepted the explanation from trainer N. McCall for the late declaration of rider for the horse.  Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
SCRABBLE – Restrained at the start to obtain a position at the rear of the field. Lost its near fore plate in running.
 
ELLAWISDOM – Began awkwardly and then was crowded between runners at the start.  Held up rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight.
 
GET ON – Hampered on jumping away. Raced 3 wide with cover.
