General
 
As L. Tarrant was not riding at tonight’s meeting, riding changes were made as per the Stewards Summary Sheet.

Race 1:  TAB QTIS 3yo Maiden H’cap – 1600m
 
SISTER KATHLEEN – Due to the late arrival of the horse, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. As jockey B. Ainsworth was delayed in traffic, jockey H. English was substituted as the rider of the horse.
 
HOWITZER - Due to the late arrival of the horse, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Forced wider on the home turn.
 
DREAM LAD – Near the 1200m, after electing to take cover, overraced and proved difficult to settle.
 
MISHANI HEART – Hung out when placed under pressure approaching the home turn. Tired over the final 300m and  underwent a post race veterinary examination which determined that the filly had an abnormal post race recovery.
 
EPICURIOUS – Forced wider on the home turn.
 
 
Race 2:  Grambower Concrete Group 0-60 H’cap 1000m
 
LEICA FIRECRACKER – Began awkwardly, momentarily unbalancing its rider.  Bumped leaving the 700m.
 
LOTS OF PROMISE – Began awkwardly. Raced 3 wide with cover.
 
I’M JUST PINK – Bumped on jumping and was slow to begin despite the urgings of its rider.
 
MASSABIELLE – Shortly after jumping was crossed and inclined to hang out throughout the event. Bumped with TRIPLE WON near the 300m.  A warning was issued to the connections of the horse regarding its racing manners.    
 
COACHES AWARD – Near the 700m overraced at the heels of SCARLET’S CHOICE and shifted in.
 
TRIPLE WON – Inclined to lay in near the 300m and bumped.
 
DER SIEGER – Had difficulty obtaining clear running near the 200m.
 
DUELLATOR – Raced 3 wide throughout.
 
NO DOUBT ACRACKER – Raced 3 wide with cover.
 
 
 
Race 3: Sunshine Coast Daily Maiden Plate – 1200m
 
LYON’S MANE – Slow into stride.
 
CHAINSMOKER - Slow into stride. Overraced in the early stages. Near the 1200m  refused to settle and its rider elected to improve to a  3 wide trailing position.  
 
BEST FOOT FORWARD - Slow into stride.
 
STEAMBOAT – When racing behind the leader commenced to overrace and laid out leaving the 1300m. Shifted out marginally near the 400m.
 
JOY’S REWARD – Overraced badly approaching the 1200m on the first occasion. Bumped on the home turn.
 
ACEME – Rounding the home turn had difficulty obtaining clear running and shifted out, bumping with JOY’S REWARD.
 
STEELCAPSTILETTOS – Held up rounding the home turn and near the 400m shifted in and steadied from STEAMBOAT.
 
MONTE SANTO – Raced 4 wide for the majority of the event.
 
SECUNDUS – Raced 3 wide.
 
 
 
Race 4: Race Zone Racing Supplies Maiden Plate – 1200m
 
TOPLINE - Began awkwardly and shifted out, making heavy contact with SERGEANT PEPPERS.
 
SERGEANT PEPPERS – Bumped heavily on jumping.
 
ARJAYAR – Began awkwardly, then bumped and forced out across the heels of MEANER and was checked, unbalancing its rider.  On return to scale jockey T. Allen reported his mount had kicked out in the gates and on examination was determined it had sustained lacerations to the off hind leg.
 
BAY NOT GREY – On jumping the saddle slipped backwards, placing its rider at a disadvantage. Jockey J. Bayliss dropped his whip with 100 metres remaining.
 
FORENSIC AUDITOR – Overraced and was obliged to steady passing the 800m.
 
GOT MY THRILLS – Raced 3 wide throughout.
 
ALLEGRO VITA – Raced 3 wide with cover. Jockey M. Hellyer reported  his mount was inclined to lay in throughout.
 
 
Race 5: Proliquor BM65 H’cap – 1200m
 
CATMOSPHERE – Trainer R. Heathcote was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider within the  prescribed time.
 
KING RAGNAR – Declare a late scratching at 8.05 pm acting on  veterinary advice after it was determined to be lame in the near-fore suspensory. Connections were advised that veterinary clearance would be required prior to returning to racing. Subsequent to the event all monies invested on the horse were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable:
 
11 cents in the dollar on the face value win bets
4 cents in the dollar on the face value win bets for the place
27 cents in the dollar on the face value 2nd place bets
16 cents in the dollar on the face value of 3rd place bets
 
WRITTEN WITH EASE – Began awkwardly and obliged to settle further back than anticipated.
 
BOUNTY HUNTER – Overraced leaving the 800m and was steadied from heels.
 
UNFAIR DISMISSAL – Raced 3 wide throughout.
 
 
 
Race 6: Perry’s Sunshine Coast Event Hire BM80 H’cap – 1000m
 
WUDANG BLADE – Began awkwardly, unbalancing its rider.  
 
THE MECHANIC – Began awkwardly and shortly thereafter had to be eased from the heels of INITIALIZE, which shifted out.
 
INITIALIZE- Shifted out slightly on jumping.  
 
SPIRIT’S CHOICE – Rounding the home turn was inclined to lay in, and then leaving the 200m shifted in sharply and brushed the rail.
 
RAIDEN – When placed under pressure near the 200m shifted out.
 
SISTER KITTY MAC – Raced 3 wide throughout.
 
MEMES – Raced 3 wide with cover.
 
 
Race 7:  H & H Air Conditioning Class 4 Plate – 1400m
 
DIXIE PREACHER -  Began awkwardly and shifted out.
 
GLEN ORD – Began awkwardly and shifted in.
