SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
GENERAL
 
 
Race 1: 24/7 Access Maiden Handicap 1600 metres
 
KNOTTY BOY – Inconvenienced on jumping away.
 
MALACHINI – Dislodged its rider when leaving the saddling enclosure. Slow to begin.
 
PATTI WAGGIN – Over-raced during the early and middle stages.
 
RAYSAND ROCKET – Began awkwardly.
 
ANGELIC ARCHER – Raced greenly under pressure over the concluding stages. R Fradd was fined the sum of $500 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on 8 occasions prior to the 100m
 
EARN OUT – Inconvenienced when obliged to avoid the heels of PRINENTE, which shifted in. Restrained from the heels of PRINENTE near the 800m and shifted wider as a consequence and raced wide from that point onwards. B El-Issa was fined the sum of $300 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m.
 
SHADYVALE SERENADE – Held up for a short distance near the 100m. Trainer P Butterworth was questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance. He stated that the horse was having its first start with blinkers today and he had expected a more forward showing from the horses most recent starts, as on both occasions the horse has suffered injuries which had been noted in the stewards reports.
 
 
Race 2: Oaks Oasis Resort Caloundra BM60 Handicap 1000 metres
 
EASY COME – Hung in under pressure in the home straight.
 
LYTAFYRE – Became fractious in the barriers, underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
 
VOGUE ROCK – Slow to begin. Disappointed for a run near the 100m and had to be checked.
 
LOVE ME BROKE – Wide no cover.
 
Race 3: Dulux QTIS Three-Years-Old BM65 Handicap 1000 metres
 
MISHANI REBEL – Wide throughout.
 
MISS LOT WON – Stewards inquired into the reasons for this filly falling near the 200m. It was established that apprentice J Lloyd was attempting to improve to the inside of BLUE HARMONY, which was inclined to hang in, this resulted in MISS LOT WON being taken in and shifting in across the heels of  SATINE, clipping heels and falling. A post race vet examination revealed the horse to have a laceration to the offhind pastern, significant bruising to the bridge of the nose and found to be bleeding from the off side nostril. Connections were advised that a vet certificate must be supplied prior to racing again.
 
BROKEN HERO – Began awkwardly.
 
SWEET RHAPSODY – Inconvenienced on jumping. Tightened for room near the 900m and steadied. J Lloyd, the rider of MISS LOT WON, was reprimanded for this incident.
 
SATINE – Inconvenienced on jumping. Over-raced during the early stages and checked to avoid heels near the 800m. Lame off foreleg post race. Vet certificate required prior to again racing.
 
POUPEE – Began awkwardly. Over-raced during the early stages. R Wiggins was fined the sum of $400 under AR132(5) for using his whip excessively.
 
AVENTURINE – Tightened for room and lost ground at the start.
 
BOLD PEDRO – Tightened for room and lost ground at the start. Checked to avoid the fallen horse near the 200m.
 
Race 4:  Higgins Coatings BM70 Handicap 1000 metres
 
The start of this event was delayed when the vet was delayed in arriving at the start.
 
SERTIN – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout and was inclined to lay in during the early stages.
 
PLATINUM EUROS – Slow to begin.
 
SANTISIMO – Trainer J Holcombe reported that the gelding was showing signs of heat stress post race.
 
 
Race 5: Vale Gerry Higgins BM60 Handicap 1400 metres
 
BLUE COMET – Declared at late scratching at 8:18pm after escaping the saddling enclosure and after breaking through the external fence travelled a distance on the road before being captured by the clerk of the course.
Stewards ordered that all monies invested on BLUE COMET be refunded and that the following deductions apply on all suscessfur wagers:
 
1st       Dominarcher            13c win  7c place
2nd      Joy’s Reward          16c place
3rd      Chiaki                      18c place
Veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the off hind fetlock. Connections were advised that a vet certificate is required prior to starting again.
 
HALLSIDE HOT STUFF – Post race vet examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
SHAIBANAT - Due to J Lloyd being stood down by the club doctor he was replaced L Kilner
 
PRINCESS CAVALLO – Raced wide.
 
NIATROSS – Raced wide.
 
BULLTRUCK – Slow to begin. Raced wide.
 
Race 6: Dulux Class 4 Handicap 1200 metres
 
 
SAY I CEE YOU – Slow to begin.
 
TOUJOURS L'AMOUR – Due to J Lloyd being stood down by the club doctor he was replaced by M Potgieter.
 
KOTA FLYER – Stewards accepted the explanation tended by trainer B Gorman as to the late declaration of rider.
 
Race 7: SUNDAY BREAKFAST AT CALLAGHAN PARK BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1050 metres
 
KING TOMLOLA - Due to J Lloyd being stood down by the club doctor he was replaced by L Kilner.
 
D'CLONE (NZ) –  Raced wide during the early stages. Trainer D Vandyke reported that in light of todays performance the horse would be sent for a spell. Post race vet examination revealed no abnormalities.
