Stewards interviewed  apprentice M Castle regarding her riding in the early part of the home straight in particular where it appeared that she persisted with a run behind DEVIL, when it may have been more beneficial to her mounts chances to shift to wider to a one off the rail position to trail QUACKERY. After viewing the patrol footage, Apprentice M Castle accepted that she may have erred at this point in the race, in not shifting wider to trail QUACKERY. After considering the relative inexperience of apprentice M Castle, stewards elected to take the matter no further.

SEE FOR YOURSELF – Tactics queried – led. Jockey S Lacy advised that it had been her intention to ride the mare positively today and look to position behind the leaders, similar to how the mare was ridden at Dalby on the 11th of June.
