SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
GENERAL
Stewards permitted jockey R. Maloney to ride 0.5kg overweight on REBEL BOOM in race 1.
Stewards permitted jockey R. Wiggins to ride 0.5kg overweight on HELLS REIN in race 2.
As J. Williams is not riding at todays meeting for acceptable reasons, he was replaced as per the meeting summary report.
Race 1 - KENDRICK RACING QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1000 M
The start of this event was delayed approximately 3 minutes due to ANOTHER CHAMPERS being reluctant to load. Stewards advised trainer S. Kendrick that a warning would be placed on the filly for being difficult to load.
ON THE CLOCK – Raced wide throughout.
VINCLEY – Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight. Jockey E. Lang was reminded of her obligations pursuant to AR132(6)(b) to ensure that her whip is not raised above shoulder height.
ANOTHER CHAMPERS – Over raced in the early stages. When attempting to shift out to secure clear running, raced in restricted room to the inside of VINCLEY and the outside of CHAT MIGNON from near the 400m until approaching the 300m.
CHAT MIGNON – Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight.
REBEL BOOM - Began awkwardly and lost ground.
Race 2 - CALOUNDRA RSL MAIDEN PLATE 1400 M
AMALFI BOY – Slow to begin. Over raced in the early stages.
FLYING ZULU - Over raced in the early stages.
KONIGSTEIN - Over raced in the early stages. Raced wide until near the 800m then worked forward to outside the leader.
RUBICK'S SHADOW – Over raced in the early stages. Apprentice K. Johnston reported that her mount was inlined to lay out in the home straight.
AKIRA SAN – Bumped on jumping and lost ground. Over raced in the early stages. Disapointed for a run to the inside of SILENT ANSWER near 300m and was obliged to steady.
FASTEST CHOICE – Bumped on jumping and lost ground. Jockey B. Lerena dropped his whip near the 150m.
KINDRED – Held up rounding the home turn and until a point approaching the 200m.
HELLS REIN – When asked to comment on the performance of HELLS REIN. Jockey R. Wiggins stated that the gelding performed reasonably well when placed under pressure and was not disappointed with its finishing effort.
Race 3 - AUSTRALIAN ENERGY ANALYTICS CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1800 M
OLD FAITHFUL (NZ) – Slow to begin. Bumped at the 1700m.
EMPRESS ASPEN – Rounding the home turn was hampered when awkwardly placed at the heels of BOLERO. D. Mcgillivray was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.
FAMILY OF LEAGUE – Over raced in the early stages.
SHEDRIVESABENTLEY – Bumped at the 1700m. In the early part of the home straight when inclined to lay in, was awkwardly placed at the heels of BOLERO which was shifting wider for clear running. Jockey D. Mcgillivray was reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a).
SHRIMPTON - Slow to begin.
BOLERO – Shifted out near the 350m to improve. Jockey D. Mcgillivray pleaded guilty to a charge pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used his whip 10 times prior to the 100m. Jockey D. Mcgillivray’s license to ride in races was suspended for 8 days to commence m/n the 11th October 2026 and to conclude m/n the 19th October 2026. Due to Jockey D. Mcgillivray having existing suspensions from Dalby on the 13th September 2026, todays penalty will commence at there conclusion.
STORMSTOUT – Slow to begin. Steadied from heels passing the 1600m.
Race 4 - IDSS RATINGS BAND 0 - 60 HANDICAP 1600 M
ENCOURAGED – Steadied from heels near the 1300m when KING COBAMA shifted in when insufficiently clear. Apprentice J. Newman was severely reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for careless riding for this incident. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
KING COBAMA – Shifted in near the 1300m.
POUR BENN (NZ) – Began moderately.
SIR GOLDALOT – Raced wide throughout.
FIERY LASS – Laid in over the concluding stages.
Race 5 - HARCOURTS PROPERTY CENTRE CALOUNDRA FILLIES AND MARES CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200 M
DON'T DOUBT MISSY – Slow to begin.
SNITZSTREAM – Laid in when placed under pressure over the concluding stages.
SMUDGED – When asked to comment on the performance of SMUDGED, jockey B. Thornton stated that mare would derive benefit from the run and a step up in distance. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be showing signs of mild heat stress.
DEEP KHARMA – Near the 800m was awkwardly placed at the heels of JARDIN DE LYS, apprentice O. Kendal was advised to exercise greater care when crossing.
DECORATIVE - Began awkwardly. Raced wide until near the 800m.
SHAHAR – Over raced in the early and middle stages. Held up in the early part of the home straight, improved onto heels near the 200m and was obliged to shift in.
PACIERA – Began awkwardly.
JARDIN DE LYS – Steadied over the concluding stages to avoid the heels of SNITZSTREAM which shifted in. Apprentice A. McColm was severely reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for careless riding for this incident.
Race 6 - HENZELLS AGENCY BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1000 M
JIMMY'S BROTHER – Began awkwardly.
CONTILDA'S LOVE – Slow to begin.
GAMBLER – Awkwardly placed at the heels of JIMMY’S BROTHER near the 700m. Apprentice A. McColm was advised to exercise greater care when crossing.
INDEFENSIBLE – Inconvienced at the start and lost ground between JIMMYS BROTHER and PODIUM STAR which both began awkwardly. Jockey J. Guthmann-Chester pleaded guilty to a charge pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used his whip 9 times prior to the 100m and was fined $500.
SISTINE EXPLORER – Slow to begin.
PODIUM STAR – Underwent a pre race veterinary examination due to not having raced in 12 months and was cleared to start. Began awkwardly.
I MISS MARGIE – Slow to begin.
Race 7 - COASTLINE MINI GARAGE PINK RIBBON CUP BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1400 M
ITALIAN RIVIERA – Began awkwardly.
SENESCHAL (IRE) – Significantly hampered between runners on jumping and lost ground. Apprentice B. Youngberry was fined $100 pursuant to AR137(a)(i) in that she used her whip in consecutive strides prior to the 100m.
CENTENNIAL PARK (NZ) – Began awkwardly and shifted in. Raced wide until near the 1000m.
NIGHTCAPPED – Significantly hampered between runners on jumping and lost ground.
HOLY FLASH – Began awkwardly, shifted out, bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.
WARNA – Carried in at the start by CENTENNIAL PARK (NZ).
CAXTON LASS – Over raced in the early stages.
ECHO HUNTER – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
Race 8 - COASTLINE BMW COLTS, GELDINGS AND ENTIRES CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200 M
GODTFRED KIRK – Held up rounding the home turn.
KEEP IT REAL - Held up rounding the home turn.
MISHANI PRINCE – Raced wide throughout.
TEELG - Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
LYRICAL GANGSTER - Began awkwardly. Over raced in the early stages. Held up rounding the home turn.
BUSKER – Slow to begin.
BRUMAL – Slow to begin. Held up in the early part of the home straight.
TALK THE TORQUE – Had its tongue tie replaced behind the barriers. Over raced in the early and middle stages.
