GENERAL
As W. O’Connell was injured, riding replacements were made as per the steward’s race day summary.

RACE 1: ST GEORGE MACHINERY CENTRE/CROPLANDS BMK 75 HCP - 1000M

SCREAMING JET – Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped another runner. Rider dropped the reins rounding the home turn resulting in his whip becoming entangled until reaching the 120m.

BLINKIN HASTY – Bumped by another runner on jumping away.


Race 2: JONES AIR/CUBBIE AG. BMK 55 HCP – 1150M

Due to transport difficulties, STONEYRISE was declared a late scratching at 12:53pm.

SHE’S RICH – Began awkwardly and shifted out. Raced wide for the majority of the event.

STRENGTH – Was slow to begin.

SAN DIEGUITO – Bumped by another runner at the start.


Race 3: MITRE 10/HALPIN MOTORS CLASS 3 PLATE - 1400M

JANDY GIRL – Was slow to begin. Laid out rounding the first turn.

TWEEDIES – Checked near the 800m when tightened for room by another runner.

ZAHA COUNTY – Laid in near the 800m.


Race 4: QUEENSLAND COTTON ST GEORGE CUP OPEN HANDICAP – 1600M

TOUCAN UKELELE – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Rider elected to stride forward from the 1300m to obtain a position outside the leader near the 1100m.

SHAKES – Over raced in the early stages of the event. Raced wide during the middle stages of the event.

BILLY GOAT – Over raced in the early stages of the event. D. McMaster, the rider of Billy Goat, was fined the sum of $100 for using the whip in a forehand manner in excess of 5 times.
