GENERAL
 
Due to a clerical error the starting time and distance for Race 3 were shown incorrectly in the official race program. The corrects time and distance of 2:50 pm and 800m were broadcast via way of on course announcement.

Race 3: NORTHERN RURAL GROUP LADIES BRACELET Class B Handicap 800m
 
 Declaration of correct weight was delayed when Jockey J Babarovich, rider of 3rd place getter DOLLADREAM, lodged an objection against 2nd placed getter MISS ELLEY (T. Brummell) alleging interference rounding home turn. After hearing submissions from the riders involved, viewing the patrol footage and considering the matter Stewards determined that rounding the home turn MISS ELLEY, which had being inclined to hang out. Shifted out abruptly passing the 300m impeding the running of DOLLADREAM, which clipped that runners heels, blundered and shifted out bumping heavily with another runner. As stewards were of the opinion that had the interference not occurred DOLLADREAM would have passed the winning post in front of MISS ELLE the protest was upheld and correct weight declared on the amended placings of:
 
1st CATO, 2nd DOLLADREAM, 3rd MISS ELLEY, 4th MALLYUMKIN
 
 
MISS ELLEY – Hung out rounding the home turn despite the efforts of its rider causing DOLLADREAM (J Babarovich) to clip that runners  heels and blunder before shifting out and making heavy contact with SHE’S WINNIE BLUE  (J Hoopert) which was then forced out making heavy contact with  CATO (R McMahon) inconveniencing that runner.

Race 4: PRAIRIE SERVICES PTY LTD (MD HUNTER EARTHMOVING) BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1200m
 
FANDRAL- As no other suitable rider was available stewards permitted Jockey R McMahon to ride the gelding 1kg over its allocated weight. Performed disappointingly.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the right foreleg. Trainer G Tipping was advised a veterinary certificate of clearance would be required prior to next start.

WICKED WIKI – As no other suitable rider was available Stewards permitted Jockey R McMahon to ride the gelding 0.5kg over its allocated weight.
