RACE 1: TROPIC DISTRIBUTORS / ABBOTT MEMORIAL - Benchmark 60 Handicap 1000m 
 
 
Affirmative Light -  Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
Artie Pantz – Refused to jump on terms with the field and was tailed out. Trainer Ms T Schofield was advised that the mare will be stood down from racing until a barrier certificate is obtained. Stable Foreman Mr Schofield advised that it was likely that Artie Pantz will be retired.
 
RACE 2:  CAMPBELL’S GRAZING CO, G R TERRY MEMORIAL – QTIS Maiden Plate 1000m 
 

Worthy Way –  Slow to begin. The gelding, which was having it’s first race start on dirt, failed to stretch out and appeared to resent the kickback.
 
Enterprise Pink – Hung out rounding the home turn.
 
 
RACE 3: BRODIE AGENCIES LADIES BRACELOT - Ratings Band 0-50 Handicap 800m 
 
I’m Opinionated –  Became extremely fractious in the barriers and commenced to kick which delayed the start and agitated horses in adjoining barrier stalls. Continued to be fractious in the barriers and trainer T Parry was advised that she will be required to obtain a barrier certificate before starting the mare again. Slow to muster early speed.
 
Snipillicious – The start was delayed due toI’m Opinionated kicking out which then resulted in Snipillicious becoming fractious dislodging rider D Sparks.  Consequently, Snipillicious underwent a veterinary examination and was declared a late scratching at 2.54 p.m.
Rider D Sparks sustained a minor abrasion to the right elbow in this incident.
 
All monies invested on Snipillicious were ordered to be refunded.
Deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and 2nd placegetters prior to the scratching:
 
19 cents in the dollar for the winner Noci Di Cocco
20 cents in the dollar for the place of winner Noci Di Cocco
20 cents in the dollar for 2nd place Sandy Grip
No third dividend.
 
A further post-race veterinary examination revealed Snipillicious had a fractured left upper canine tooth.
 
Wholelottalove – Slow into stride.
 
 
RACE 4: HONEYCOMBES SALES & SERVICE -   Benchmark 50 Handicap 1200m 
 
 
Zephirine –  Raced three wide to avoid kickback.
 
Atala – Hung out making the home turn.
 
Lasting Promise -  Raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages when at the rear of the field.
 
 
RACE 5: RRETS GROUP STAMFORD CUP- Open Handicap 1200m 
 
 
Here He Looms – Eased off the heels of Hang Five at the 1000 metres and then shifted wider hampering Yalla.
 
Hang Five – Raced ungenerously at the 1000 metres.
 
Allezizzy- Jockey C Whiteley reported that the mare hung in badly throughout the race.
 
Revved Up Ready – Hung in throughout running.
 
Yalla – Jockey R Faehr was permitted to ride the mare 3kg over the allocated weight due to no other rider being available. Steadied and lost ground at the 1000 metres when Here He Looms shifted out off heels.
