Race 1: LONGHORN TRANSPORT Maiden Plate (1000 METRES)
 
MATAGORDA, raced four wide without cover throughout.
 
ORDERS, raced wide throughout andlaid in over the concluding stages.
 
SIR ALTIUS, rider reported Sir Altius felt awkward in its action on pulling up. Was sent for a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be sore in the offside fore shoulder. Was given pain relief by the veterinary surgeon. Trainers representative for Craig Smith was advised they must produce a veterinary certificate of soundness before racing again.
 
EPIC REIGN, raced wide throughout.
 
OSAKA SUNSET, bumped with Spiritual Belief at the start.
 
REBEL WOWZER, Jockey Tim Brummell was suspended under AR132(5) for excessive use of the whip on 19 occasions (5 more than permissible). His license to ride in races was suspended for 7 days to commence on Midnight 29th May up to Midnight 5th June. 
 
SPIRITUAL BELIEF, underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection and was cleared to start. Was bumped by Epic Reign at the start.
 
 
Race 2: ‘RAB’ CAVANOUGH MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 65 Handicap (1100 METRES)
 
TYCOON ZIP, raced three wide throughout.
 
SHIGERU MAHOGANY, over raced early, shifted out across heels near the 750 metres. Rider reported it failed to handle the turn at the 750 metres.
 
ACE PLAY, John Rudd replaced Brooke Richardson as the rider due to Brooke Richardson arriving late on course. Stewards accepted the explanation for jockey Brooke Richardson arriving late on course.
 
LINE UP, run onto heels of Drayman at the 200 metres and run onto heels of Flash Fabian at 50 metres, rider had to steady and change course on both occasions.
 
 
Race 3: GBA ENGINEERS GOLDEN CLASSIC QTIS Class 3 Plate (1200 METRES)
 
MR NODDY, proved difficult to load.
 
LASCO, raced wide throughout, trainer W. Pugsley requested to view the photo finish prior to the declaration of correct weight. After viewing the judges photo trainer Pugsley stated he was satisfied with the judge’s original placings and corrected weight was declared on the semaphored numbers.
 
ROSAIRE, very slow to begin.
 
WON CAPILANO, raced wide throughout.
 
CHESTER’S ANGEL, raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
NIGHT IN PARADISE, raced wide throughout, jockey lost whip near the 90 metres.Jockey Brooke Richardson was suspended under AR 132(7)(a)(ii) for applying the whip to her mount on 10 occasions (5 more than permissible) prior to the 100 metres. Her license to ride in races was suspended for 7 days to commence on Midnight 29th May up to Midnight 5th June. 
 
Race 4: AVON DOWNS THOROUGHBREDS Class B Handicap (1400 METRES)
 
SET TO FIGHT, racedwide throughout, ducked out at 300 metres.
 
LOVE YOU LINDA, slow into stride.
 
MISSY EM, proved difficult to load, slow into stride, raced wide throughout, put in awkward strides near the 100 metres.
 
MRS SENNA, was kept on course 2.5 hours following the running of the race for further swab samples to be taken.
 
HOT CHOCOLATE, raced wide throughout, hung out down the home straight.
 
 
Race 5: HARVEY BLACK MT ENNISKILLEN TAMBO/OUTBACK SHOWCASE (HEAT) OPEN Handicap (1400 METRES)
 
GYPSY BIKER, was pushed along throughout the race.
 
I WANNA BE A JEEP, began awkwardly.
 
COZHECANCAN, raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 6: TURNBULL FAMILY BENCHMARK 60 Handicap (1800 METRES)
 
PAST TENSE, slow to begin and raced wide throughout.
 
SAHAR, raced wide throughout.
 
JERRY ZANDA, slow to begin and ducked out at the 350 metres.
