Race 1 – DAWSON RIVER PRODUCE/TOP X/LANDMARK SAM BARLOW MEMORIAL QTIS MDN PLATE - 1000M:

COPPER THIEF – Due to a clerical error with the gelding’s racing gear, stewards permitted Copper Thief to race with winkers and without blinkers.

WAIMEA GREY – Pulled its off hind plate prior to the running of today’s event. Trainer M. Kropp made application to race the mare without both hind plates, which was accepted by stewards. Was slow to begin.

JEDDA’S GIRL – Apprentice H. Phillips, the rider of Jedda’s Girl, reported at scale that her saddle had slipped at the start of the event, which placed her at a significant disadvantage for the remainder event.

BOLD INTERLUDE – Was slow to begin.

Race 3 – TAROOM PHARMACY BILL JOYSON MEMORIAL CLASS B HCP –– 1200M:

ANGIE’S DIARY – Was slow to begin.

CHILLDOWN – Was slow to begin. Rounding the home turn, shifted out wider on the track to obtain clear running. When questioned in regards to the improved performance of the gelding, Trainer G. AFRICAN CHILD – Apprentice L. Tilley reported to stewards at scale that African Child’s bit had slipped through to the near side after the mare commenced to hang out rounding the first turn which placed the rider at a significant disadvantage for the remainder of the event.

SHINKASHU – Near the 900m was restrained off of the heels of EXSTRATUM, who was taken in by KOOL HEAVEN, which shifted in when not fully clear. At a subsequent enquiry, apprentice J. King, the rider of Kool Heaven was reprimanded.
