Race 1: ANIPRO / BILL JOYNSON MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 55 Handicap (1000 METRES)

BLAINE – Shifted out approaching the winning post hampering another runner. App. J Molloy was reminded of his obligation to keep his mounts straight.
 
CALCULATED RISK – Drifted out marginally over the concluding stages.
 
KENTFORD – Jockey P Hamblin made application to view the patrol footage over the concluding stages to consider whether to lodge an objection. After doing so, Jockey Hamblin declined to proceed with an objection. Jockey Hamblin was permitted to ride the gelding a half kilogram overweight when no other rider was available and was fined $100 accordingly.

CRISTOVAO – Slow into stride. Hampered approaching the finish line when BLAINE shifted out.
 
DANCING TALES – Slow into stride.  
 
POETIC DRAGON – Raced wide without cover throughout. Forced extremely wide rounding the home turn when pushed out by another runner.
 
TAKEN ON CHANCE – Slow into stride.
 
LIGHTHORSE – Rider reported that the mare hung out throughout the event. Forced another runner wide rounding the home turn.
 
Race 2: ARGUS BUILDERS / OWEN BRODIE MEMORIAL QTIS Maiden Plate (1000 METRES)
 
 
NIKSICKO – Shifted out abruptly approaching the finishing line.   
 
MISS DAISEY – Slow to begin. App. E MacPherson was fined $200 for weighing in in excess of half a kilogram overweight.
 
TOTAL TRUCE – Slow into stride. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 3: DAWSON RIVER PRODUCE/TOP X/NUTRIEN AG SOLUTIONS/SAM BARLOW MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 50 Handicap (1200 METRES)
 
VALAR DOHAERIS – Raced wide without cover throughout.  
 
MALVAGIO – Trainer R West and Rider H Phillips made application to view the photo finish with regards to first and second placing. After doing so, accepted the judges original placings.
 
RAKU’S SECRET – Slow into stride.

SHINING BLUE – Had to be restrained in the early and middle stages.
 
TEYA – Very slow into stride. Had to be restrained off heels over the concluding stages.
 
LENNON’S PADDOCK – Over raced in the middle stages.
 
Race 4:LEICHHARDT HOTEL / BOB SCOTT MEMORIAL OPEN Handicap (1200 METRES)
 
SHUDA KNOWN BETTER – Slow into stride.
 
NECESSITAS – Raced wide throughout without cover.  
 
Race 5: TAROOM WELDING WORX / DES JOHNSON MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 60 Handicap (1400 METRES)
 
FROZE – Over raced in the middle stages.
 
POWERFULL LASS – Slow to begin and failed to show any speed throughout.
 
FEELING THORNY – Raced greenly in the early and middle stages. Rider report that it wasn’t until he could get the horse to the outside near the 400 metres that it commenced to race truly and that it was the first start in the anticlockwise direction and that may have had bearing on the racing greenly in the middle stages.
