WEATHER – FINE TRACK RATING – SOFT (5)/ GOOD (4)

Race 1: Barrie Devine Open Handicap- 1075 metres

EL SUPREMO- Slow into stride.

BRADY ‘N’ ME- Slow into stride, raced wide throughout.

SCHOORWIN- Near 800 metres, taken out across the heels of another runner. Raced wide throughout.

ME FAST TOO- Near 800 metres hung out. Shifted out slightly near 200 metres.

WILLYWYNA- Near the 200 metres, eased when another runner shifted ground.

Following this race, the track was upgraded to a Good (4) retrospectively to Race 1.

Race 2: Keith Kevin Kapernick Maiden Plate- 1200 metres

FOOLISH THOUGHT- Declared a late scratching on veterinary advice at 8.05am.

GLORY ME- When questioned regarding her not placing the horse under pressure in the early stages, App Richardson stated that she had anticipated placing the mare closer, however after standing in the barriers due to the delay, it was slow to begin and raced at the rear of the field. App Richardson stated she was mindful of the mare racing keenly if placed under pressure early, however when shown the patrol film was unaware the horse had lost as much ground as it did. Further stated that after she balanced the mare up at the rear of the field, it had made steady ground in the middle stages to race with the field.

SHOCKETEOR- Jumped awkwardly and made contact with another runner.

DELIGHTSOME- When placed in barriers, reared over and become cast. Escaped riderless and when captured, was declared a late scratching at 2.10pm. On declaration of correct weight, all monies were ordered to be refunded on DELIGHTSOME with deductions to be applied on winning bets of 8c Win and 9c Place. Trainer N King was advised that the horse would require a veterinary certificate and must pass a barrier trial satisfactorily prior to its next start. Jockey J Missen did not require medical assistance, however reported he had swelling to his left ankle and would have it further examined.

SAY IT ISNT OVER- Due to a significant spell, underwent a veterinary inspection and cleared to take its place in the field. Rider reported its was inclined to hang out throughout. At the start, shifted out and away from another runner.

HIDDEN BEACH- Slow to begin.

Race 3: Ken O’Dowd Class B Handicap- 1200 metres

SPANNA- Jumped out and made heavy contact with another runner.

HOT PLATE- Heavy contact with another runner which had jumped out.

EMPRESS AYLEAH- Raced wide throughout.

FUNNY FELLOW- Raced wide throughout.

LOOKSLIKERAIN- Raced wide throughout.

Race 4: Ron Carige Class 3 Plate- 1300 metres

RECESS- When questioned regarding his riding in the early stages where the horse drifted back in the field after beginning well, App D Evans stated that mare has no early pace, and he was instructed to take up a position worse than midfield and shift to the outside and place the horse under pressure from the 800 metres. He complied with these instructions however the mare exhibited no sprint and only made steady ground from the 400 metres.

CLASPED- Began awkwardly.

GREAT DANSAAR- Jumped in onto another runner.

USURPER- Contacted at the start. Near the 1000 metres, raced in restricted room and when eased, over-reacted, shifted out, clipped the heels of GREAT DANSAAR, blundered and lost ground.

OUTBACK LIGHTNING- Began awkwardly and lost some ground. Raced wide throughout.

Race 5: Jeff Seeny BM 60 Handicap- 800 metres

SOLIDIFY- Slow to begin.

HEZA BIT HISSY- Began awkwardly and lost some ground.

DAILY PLANET- Brushed another runner on jumping and raced ungenerously near the 400 metres.

VOLTURNUS- Brushed with another runner on jumping.

ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED
