Race 1: CMC BM 55 Handicap- 1075 metres

COUNTING HOUSE- Slow into stride and raced ungenerously after beginning, threw its head in the air.

ZAHA EXPRESS- Raced wide without cover throughout.

ANGEL OF ROCK- Raced wide throughout.

Race 2: Howard Helicopters BM 65 Handicap- 1300 metres

EIGHT SKIRTS- Raced wide without cover throughout.

DESERT PLAYBOY- Raced wide throughout.

BORN TO SURVIVE- Held up in early in the straight, shifted out and bumped FINAL CHAPTER.

STRATEGIC GLORY- From the 100 metres, laid in and proved difficult to ride out.

FRISKY CRUISER- When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, rider could offer no tangible explanation. The mare had travelled well in the race, similar to its previous start however may have been effected as it was having its third start in three weeks.

Race 3: Vandenbergh Constructions Open Handicap- 1400 metres

JUST FOR KEEPS- When M Barnham was to be overweight, P. Romeo was substituted. Jockey Barnham was fined $100 (AR 120(b)). Stood flat-footed, missed the start and lost some ground.

MURRAMANG- When Apprentice L Dodds could only claim 1/2kg of his 3kg claim, Trainer D Schultz was satisfied for App L Dodds to retain the ride. App Dodds pleaded guilty to a charge under AR 92(12) in that he failed to claim his full claim, or claim to his declared riding weight. App Dodd’s licence to ride in races was suspended from m/n 25 July 2015 up to and including Saturday 1 August, 2015 (1 CQ meeting). In determining penalty, Stewards were mindful that this was his seventh breach of this rule since March.

WAR HORSE- Race wide without cover throughout.

App H. Phillips pleaded guilty to a charge under AR 118C (c) in that when weighing out for this race, failed to weight out with an approved safety vest. After taking into account her submissions on penalty, App Phillips was fined $200.

Race 4: Catholic Education Class B Handicap- 1600 metres

ROSE OF TRAVESTON- Began awkwardly and was slow into stride.

BALMERRO- Slow into stride.

VIRTUITY- Slow into stride.

SAY MY NAME- Near the 250 metres, became awkwardly placed on the heels of another runner, shifted out and made heavy contact with the hindquarters of VIRTUITY.

Race 5: First Grade Contract Maintenance Maiden Plate- 800 metres

Apprentice J Hodge was reprimanded under AR 175(k) for negligence in saddling, in that he weighed out without irons. This was immediately rectified by the Apprentice prior to the saddle being handed out.

ONE WON’T HURT YA- Slow to begin.

WHITE SQUALL- Declared a late scratching by Stewards when acting on a confirmed phone call from Trainer C Howell that he had transport difficulties.

DEBBIE’S DREAM- Slow into stride.

BARBWIRE ‘N” ROSES- Galloped strongly to the barriers in its preliminary. Underwent a veterinary inspection on arrival at the barriers and was cleared to start.

LEILA’S CALL- Jumped in the air at the start. App Phillips reported her right knee had made contact with the barrier partition.

PAINT US A PICTURE- Late rider declaration of App N Summers. Trainer J Pointon was fined $100 (LR 86).

GOIN FOR BROKE- Raced wide without cover throughout.
