Race 1: The New Fortuner Maiden Plate - 1075 metres

FRANKY COLD MEDINA- Stood flat-footed and lost ground.

COOPERS CREEK- Slow to begin.

PURE CLASS- Slow to begin.

GUSTAVUS VASSA- Slow to begin. Raced three wide without cover.

Race 2: Paul Hibble Memorial BM 60 Handicap- 1075 metres

STAR SYSTEM- Difficult during its preliminary, harmlessly dislodged rider on two occasions. Began awkwardly, bounded in the air and lost some ground. Mr W Baker reported he would consider spelling the mare.

Race 3: Linemac Motors Class 3 Plate- 1300 metres

Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Apprentice N Vuille (CURLEW- 4th) viewed the available patrol film over the concluding stages and after doing so, lodged an objection against SON OF A WARRIOR (2nd). Stewards also lodged an objection on behalf of RE ECHO (3rd) against SON OF A WARRIOR. After evidence was taken from all riders, Stewards established that SON OF A WARRIOR had shifted in and tightened CURLEW which had to be checked and continued to shift in and cause RE ECHO to be restrained. However, considering the margins involved between the placegetters and where the incidences took place, Stewards dismissed both objections. Subsequently, App N Summers pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding and her licence to ride in races was suspended from m/n 12 December, 2015 up to and including 23December, 2015 (11 days).

ELLE THE MODEL- Slow to begin.

Stewards inquired into an incident near the 1000 metres. App N Vuille pleaded guilty to a careless riding charger under AR 137(a) in that she allowed CURLEW to shift in when insufficiently clear of YARRANDI (K Gates) which was dictated in onto LALITA (App Z White) which was taken in and cause BINESI (A. Coome) to make contact with the running rail, checked and lost considerable ground. App Vuille’s licence to ride in races was suspended from m/n 12 December, 2015 up to including 24 December, 2015 (12 days).

Race 4: Oh What A Feeling! BM 55 Handicap- 1600 metres

ZABEELZEBUB- Slow to begin.

MURRAMANG- Slow to begin.

CHILLI CON CARNE- Began extremely awkwardly and failed to stretch out for the majority of the race. A post-race veterinary inspection did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer C Thompson advised the gelding would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate prior to its next start.

FUNNY FELLOW- Raced three wide without cover throughout. Rider reprimanded for use of whip on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m.

CHERISHTHETHOUGHT- Raced three wide without cover throughout. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed it was sore and mildly lame in the off hind leg. Trainer’s representative advised it would now be spelled.

Race 5: 2015 Ford Mustang GT Class B Handicap- 800 metres

SCINTILLER- Contact with another runner at the start. Further hampered when another runner jumped out. Commenced to hang out from the 600 metres and near the 250 metres made contact with the outside running rail and dislodged the rider. Apprentice White was treated by ambulance officers on course and transported to hospital from treatment. A medical certificate of fitness will be required. The mare will be required to barrier trial prior to its next start.

DOUBLE RICH- Contact with another runner at the start. Further hampered when another runner jumped out.

MYSTIC LAD- Jumped out and further hampered runners to its inside.

SOUL SERENADE- Jumped inwards at the start.
