Race 1: Phillip Casey 2016 Banana Shire Mayoral Candidate Maiden Plate - 1075 metres
FRANKY COLD MEDINA- Slow to begin. Near 300 metres, tightened and checked severely.
MISS OLIMAC- Made contact with another runner at the start and lost some ground. Laid in despite the efforts of rider near the 800 metres and inconvenienced another runner.
WEEKEND SAVIOR- Made contact with another runner at the start. When another runner laid in near the 800 metres, had to be checked and shifted wide on the track.
CASINO PUSSY- Dislodged the rider when the filly was fractious on being loaded. Horse and rider were cleared to take place in the field. Slow to begin.
ITTY GITTY- Wide without cover throughout.
HAYYLER’S MOUNTAIN- Near the 300m, shifted in abruptly under pressure, at which time the rider responded and corrected. Warning would be placed on the gelding.
LILLIAN ELIZA- Near the 300 metres, when another runner shifted in abruptly, was taken in and lost some ground.
Race 2: Cr Neville Ferrier 2016 Banana Shire Mayoral Candidate- 1075 metres
JUST DO SOMETHING- Tightened on jumping when runners either side shifted ground.
SPOOKY MOO- Raced wide without cover throughout.
SPEEDREADER- Raced wide with cover throughout.
Race 3: Ron Carige Mayor Banana Shire Open Handicap- 1200 metres
SCHOORWIN- Jumped in the air at the start and lost some ground.
STAGE EXIT- Rider reprimanded for use of the whip on more than 5 occasions. When another runner made contact with its hindquarters, shifted inwards. Rider advised to use greater effort to relieve pressure from other runners.
JAM TIN- Returned to enclosure lame in the off foreleg. A veterinary certificate of fitness will be required prior to its next race start.
ME FAST TOO- Near 250 metres, hung out and made contact with the hindquarters of STAGE EXIT, tightened and lost ground.
GARDER LA FOI- Near 250 metres, severely hampered and checked from the heels of another runner.
COVERT CHARMOUR- Hampered when another runner was checked and shifted out.
Race 4: Ken O’Dowd Federal Member for Flynn Class B Handicap - 1400 metres
SAMMY SPARROW- Began awkwardly. Near 1000 metres, eased when another runner shifted in.
ONEMORENOBLEDANCER- Near 1000 metres, shifted in when not quite clear of another runner.
CURLEW- Near 900 metres, eased when SOUL SERENADE rolled in marginally.
Race 5: Jeff Seeney Member for Callide BM50 Handicap- 800 metres
WORTH THE TIME- Slow to begin.
MIDDLEMOUNT MURPHY- Made significant contact with another runner on jumping and lost ground.
THREE PYRAMIDS- Made significant contact with another runner on jumping.
DE MESTRE- Near the 200 metres, jumped and become awkward for a number of strides.
ZALATED- Trainer reported he would make gear changes following what he considered a disappointing performance. He was of the opinion the gelding may have resented the tongue tie.
