On returning to scale Mr. Adam Sewell, rider of fourth placed RICH AGAIN, lodged an objection against 3rd placed MISSISSIPPI MORN alleging interference near the 250 metres and again approaching the winning post. After assessing the evidence of riders Sewell and Semmens, and viewing vision of the race, it was established that passing the 250 metres, RICH AGAIN when attempting to improve into a run between MISSISSIPPI MORN and AGED CARE had to steady when MISSISSIPPI MORN laid out closing the run. RICH AGAIN, when in a narrow run, approaching the post was further restrained when MISSISSIPPI MORN laid out marginally, and AGED CARE shifted in. After considering all relevant factors the Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that the chances of RICH AGAIN had been affected so as to warrant a change in placings, and accordingly the objection was dismissed and correct weight declared.
