1.    The following runners were scratched from today’s meeting due to transportation difficulties resulting from flooding in regional areas
BUZ FUZ, MISHANI OUTLAW, CUP OF AMBITION, BUSTERKICK, DULGET, MAGIC GAME, FORTRESS AUSTRALIA
OCEAN EMPEROR, FORTRESS AUSTRALIA, TRICKETEER, MANIC LIGHT, CUP OF AMBITION, KWIK AS HELL, POLLY HOFFA, WOLF POINT
 
2.    Apprentice Maddie Mankelow advised that as a consequence of flooding she was unable to travel to today’s race meeting.

Race 1: COWBOYS LEAGUES CLUB QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE – 1300 Metres
 
SECRET SCOUT – Slow to begin.
 
ROYAL PROPHECY – Slow to begin. Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
SHE'S A SWEET STAR – Began awkwardly and lost ground.

LOUIS AUGUSTE – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
 
Race 2: MITAVITE MAIDEN PLATE – 1400 METRES

YOROKOBI (NZ) – Began awkwardly.
 
VIVA LA JUICY – Slow into stride. Inconvenienced near the 1300 metres.
 
MISSIN' DE QUO – Shifted out at the start crowding NATIONAL GOAL. 
 
NATIONAL GOAL – Crowded for room on jumping and shifted out bumping COLONEL PARKER on the hindquarters.
 
COLONEL PARKER – Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping and was unbalanced.
 
SHE'SANAIS – Shifted in abruptly near the 1300 metres inconveniencing VIVA LA JUICY. Jockey Georgina Cartwright was advised to show greater care when shifting ground.
 
TAKE A DIVE – Momentarily held up rounding the home turn. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.  
 
 
Race 3: HYGAIN CLASS 1 HANDICAP – 1400 Metres

STARMEIRA – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Over-raced in the early stages before being allowed to stride forward and race outside the leader leaving the 900 metres. 
 
PARO – Shifted out at the start bumping with BETTER BREAKOUT. Commenced to lose ground leaving the 700 metres and finished well back. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Rider Ashvin Goindasamy reported that PARO’s tongue-tie became displaced during running which may have been detrimental to the gelding’s chances.
 
BETTER BREAKOUT – Bumped on jumping.
 
MAYOR OF KINGSTON – Jockey Adam Sewell reported at scale he was of the opinion the gelding was not entirely comfortable in today’s soft track conditions.  
 
 
Race 4: LADBROKES PUNTERS ASSIST CLASS 4 HANDICAP – 1609 Metres

BRASCO – Slow to begin.
 
RELEASE LE MISSILE – Slow to begin.
 
KHAMIS – Slow to begin. Restrained off heels near the 1,000 metres.  
 
GARINION RIGH – Began awkwardly. Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.  
 
YOSEMITE FALLS – Ivo Fry replaced Apprentice Maddie Mankelow who could not attend today’s meeting. While this rider change was approved prior to today’s meeting this was not advised in media publications until this morning. Over-raced in the early stages.
 
CANDLELIT – Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
 
KEEP ON RUNNING – Momentarily held up rounding the home turn.

SIR MAXIMUS – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
 
Race 5: SMIRNOFF VODKA CRUSH BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP – 1000 Metres
 
SATURDAY VIBES – Delayed the start after being very difficult to load. Trainer Stephen Massingham was advised a final warning would be placed on its barrier manners. Mr Massingham advised that he intended to start SATURDAY VIBES next weekend at Townsville, but should the gelding again prove difficult at the barriers then he will consider its racing future. Slow to begin. Tended to lay in under pressure in the home straight. Stewards noted rider Ryan Wiggins exceeded the permitted strikes of the whip prior to the 100m (+ two) under AR132(7)(a)(ii); however, given the totality of the whip use no further action was taken.
 
CLUEDO (NZ) – Slow to begin.
 
HAND GRENADE – Shifted in at the start bumping with RAMIUS.  
 
RAMIUS – Shifted out at the start bumping with HAND GRENADE.  
 
TIME TO PROPHET – Over-raced in the early stages.  
 
NO LOVE LOST – Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 

Race 6: GREAT NORTHERN BREWING CO QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD HANDICAP – 1000 Metres
 
MIGHTY CONQUEROR – Declared a late scratching at 8.20am by order of Stewards due to a misunderstanding of trainer Ms. Taylor Connor. Ms. Connor was cautioned and advised to ensure future runners are scratched by the prescribed time.
 
EVAREADYMISS – Delayed the start when proved difficult to load. Trainer A. Taylor was advised a warning would be placed on its barrier manners. Returned to scale with blood in its mouth. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a small laceration to its mouth area.
 
PROPERLEIGH – Delayed the start further when proved difficult to load. Trainer Scott Seymour was advised a warning would be placed on its barrier manners.
 
MISTER TIA – Bounded in the air as the start was affected and lost ground.  
 
SENSEI GIRL – Slow to begin.
 
BANG STICK – Slow to begin. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn until leaving the 300 metres.
 
NOSEY NEO – Began awkwardly.

OLD GOLD – Raced ungenerously for a short distance leaving the 800 metres.
 
SATISFIED MUGS – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race.  

 
Race 7: MAGIC MILLIONS COUNTRY CUP QUALIFIER OPEN HANDICAP – 1200 METRES
 
BURRANEER BUOY– Slow to begin.
 
STATS – Slow to begin. Rider Ryan Wiggins dropped his whip near the 300 metres.
 
HIGHER LOVE– Slow to begin. Shifted in when not fully clear of TYCOON BEAU near the 1000 metres putting that runner in restricted room for a short distance. Jockey Tasha Chambers was reprimanded under AR131a and advised to be fully clear in similar circumstances. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race.

TYCOON BEAU – Commenced to over-race when being restrained near the 1000 metres when placed in restricted room.  Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
TAMBO'S JUSTICE – Anticipated the start and bounded in the air as the start was effected and lost ground.  
 
COCHRANE – Over-raced in the early stages.

 
Race 8: 2026 WINTER RACING CARNIVAL TICKETS ON SALE SOON BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1200 METRES
 
RIDEAU – Slow to begin. Raced wide with no cover.
 
CRAICARO – Slow to begin. Over-raced in the early stages. Raced wide for the majority of the race.

VEE EIGHT POWER – Slow to begin.
 
BELMONT PARK – Slow to begin.
 
MR DAMAGE – Rider Nathan Thomas reported that the gelding was reluctant to stride out shortly after leaving the barriers, however after travelling 200 metres had come on to the bridle and raced tractably thereafter.
 
JOE'S GIGGLE – Unable to obtain clear running for the majority of the home straight.   

KOBAYASTAR – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

SUPER TWENTY THREE – Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
 
TO LOVE SOMEBODY – Raced wide with cover for the majority of the race.
