SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
All runners that raced on Friday 23rd September and were backing up at today’s meeting underwent pre- race veterinary inspections and were all cleared to race.

GENERAL


Race 1: CLONMELL BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1100 metres

ROCKY POET – Began awkwardly and raced four wide throughout without cover.

MY BOY SAM – underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection after racing the previous day and was cleared to start.
Slow into stride and raced three wide throughout without cover.

SPANISH SPIRIT – underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection after racing the previous day and was cleared to start.
Commenced to drop out from the 500 metres.


Race 2: CLERMONT CONCRETE / CLERMONT QUARRIES QTIS Maiden Plate 1100 metres

DEVIL – Proved difficult to load and raced three wide throughout without cover. Trainer John Manzelmann was advised that a warning was placed on DEVIL for proving difficult to load into the barriers.

FLAMING ASTEROID – underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection after racing the previous day and was cleared to start.

SON DINGO – underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection after racing the previous day and was cleared to start.

CADDY – Proved difficult to load. Trainer John Manzelmann was advised that a warning was placed on CADDY for proving difficult to load into the barriers. Began awkwardly and raced four wide throughout without cover.

CORABETTY – Apprentice jockey Tahlia Fenlon was dislodged during the prelim parade. CORABETTY was declared a late scratching at 2:12pm. Apprentice jockey Fenlon was treated for pain relief and transported by Queensland ambulance to Clermont hospital for further observation.
Stewards ordered that all wagers placed on CORABETTY to be refunded and that all successful wagers placed prior to 2:12pm be subject to a deduction of 22 cents in the dollar for win bets and 23 cents in the dollar for all place bets.
Trainer Kevin Miller was advised CORABETTY was barred from racing until the completion of a barrier trial to the satisfaction of Stewards.


Race 3: COOVIN / BUNDABAROO / NOEL O’SULLIVAN MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1200 metres

FARMERS FRIEND – Began awkwardly and raced four wide throughout without cover.

SCHATZI – Began awkwardly and over raced up onto heels approaching the 700 metres.

JUST FRANK – underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection after racing the previous day and was cleared to start. Put in awkward strides near the 700 metres and dropped back. App Shae Neilson was reprimanded under AR143(14)(a) for failing claim her full allowance.

WREN PLUCKED – underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection after racing the previous day and was cleared to start.


Race 4: EPPING FOREST / BENTLEYS TWIN HILLS CUP OPEN Handicap 1300 metres

ELLE A WALKING – Apprentice jockey Alisha Donald was issued with a reprimand under the terms of AR132(5) for using her whip on 15 occasions one more than permitted

THE CROWN – underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection after racing the previous day and was cleared to start.
Slow to begin.


Race 5: BRAVUS / APIAM CLERMONT VET SURGERY Class B Handicap 1300 metres

YOU CHOOSE – was scratched at 5:00pm on Friday 23/09/2022 by Stewards acting on veterinary advice after pulling up lame in Race 5. Trainer Tim Cook was advised he must produce a veterinary certificate of soundness before racing again.

MILKY ROCKET – slow into stride and raced wide throughout.

CHATILLY – underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection after racing the previous day and was cleared to start.
Slow into stride and over raced in the early and middle stages.

NIKSIKO – underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection after racing the previous day and was cleared to start.
Raced wide throughout.
