CINDERELLA CAFÉ (NZ) (Cardiac Arrythmia) ECG & Veterinary Clearance


RACE 1: QTIS 2-Y-O MAIDEN H'CAP - 1015M.

BLUE PAL (M McDonald), which dislodged the rider on two occasions in the parade yard was withdrawn by stewards at 3.45 pm. Deductions on all win bets were paid less 3 cents in the $1 win and 3 cents in the $1 place. Connections were advised that BLUE PAL is required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to its next start. M McDonald was not injured when dislodged.

MONTE CAVALLO and HOT FOOTING were slowly away.

Leaving the 800m HOT FOOTING made contact with PRIDE ‘N’ PROUD when taken out by MONTE CAVALLO.

Approaching the 400m MONTE CAVALLO shifted out making contact with UNIVERSAL DREAMER.

PRIDE 'N' PROUD, which was racing greenly shifted in abruptly approaching the 200m.

Near the 100m HOT FOOTING was steadied from the heels of THE MOOPS.

Time off: 3.53 PM.

RACE 2:QTIS 2-Y-O MAIDEN H’CAP - 1015M.

G Geran (TEMPLE JACK) was dislodged from his mount on the way to the barriers. TEMPLE JACK was caught after going a short distance and was subsequently cleared to take its place in the field. G Geran did not sustain any injury in the incident.

At the start LAURISTON ROSE was severely hampered between EXPRESS TRAVEL, which jumped out and FREEZE FRAME.

Shortly after TEMPLE JACK, which had jumped in, made heavy contact with FREEZE FRAME.

Near the 800m MIGHTY CLASSY was steadied when momentarily crowded for room by IDIDIT, which rolled in.

SAN DEL AQUILA, which was slowly away, made the 800m turn wide.

DESERT SAMBA also made the 800m turn wide.

Approaching the 400m COUNT IVOR was forced wider on the track by FREEZE FRAME, which shifted out to obtain clear running.

On the point of the home turn TEMPLE JACK was severely checked when disappointed for a run between COUNT IVOR and FREEZE FRAME.

COUNT IVOR shifted in over the concluding stages.

At the pull up COUNT IVOR shifted out abruptly coming into heavy contact with FREEZE FRAME.

Time off: 4.34 PM.

RACE 3: ALAN WHITE MAIDEN H'CAP - 1116M.

BELLE MAREE lost ground when it jumped with its head in the air.

HOBEAU and COWBOY DAN were slowly away.

At the start STAR OF MIDNIGHT and KENJABAR were hampered by DOUBLE TREBLE, which jumped out.

Shortly after the start SPECIAL LAD shifted in abruptly coming into contact with PICCOLA ANGELINA.

Approaching the 800m DOUBLE TREBLE hung out onto the heels of KENJABAR.

Near the 800m HOBEAU was eased from the heels of PICCOLA ANGELINA, which was racing greenly.





COWBOY DAN raced greenly leaving the 800m.

Approaching the 400m HOBEAU was eased from the heels of PICCOLO ANGELINA, which rolled in.

KENJABAR hung out throughout.

When questioned about the reason that they took one another on in the middle stages J Warrington (SPICY GAL) said he was reluctant to surrender the lead at the 700m as the trainer advised him that the filly was not a horse that you could stop and start in races. C Spry (RORY'S ROC) stated that after starting from a wide barrier he took his time to come across and once racing to the outside of SPICY GAL his mount raced very keenly, which is a trait of the filly. Stewards advised both riders that they will note their explanations.

Time off: 5.10 PM.

RACE 4: CLIFFORD PARK TRASH & TREASURE AUCTION CLASS 2 H'CAP - 1216M.

MADAME WENDELL whilst being led onto the track, spun around dislodging the rider and knocking over the stablehand. MADAME WENDELL, which then bolted to the barriers, was subsequently cleared by the veterinary surgeon to take its place in the field. Apprentice Y Yamazaki and the stablehand sustained no injuries.

AIN'T NO POET jumped awkwardly.

VALIANT DANE was slowly away.

GEORGE THOMAS and MADAME WENDELL shifted in over the concluding stages.

When questioned about the disappointing performance of VALIANT DANE, jockey P Wolfgram said that the gelding did not travel well at any stage and the only excuse he could offer is the gelding may be looking for more ground, explanation noted.

MADAME WENDELL returned to scale with minor lacerations to the off - side hock.

Time off: 5.46 PM.

RACE 5: RAY WHITE RURAL CLASS 6 H'CAP - 1316M.

UP THE BID and RUBIN JAMES made contact on jumping.

IRON ORE pulled hard in the early stages.

Time off: 6.25 PM.

RACE 6: RAY WHITE TOOWOOMBA CITY CLASS 3 H'CAP - 1525M.

Due to a breakdown in communication, K Yoshida was declared as the rider for KELMONT and STELLAR SPECTRA. A Parramore was the replacement rider for KELMONT.

STAR ACADEMY, which was successful at the Dalby meeting on 26/06/03, was penalised 2kgs. for this event.

STAR ACADEMY was held up for clear running from the 400m until the early stages of the home straight.

Near the 250m SAMSUN and EYES FOREVER were both checked when tightened for room between KELMONT (A Parramore), which shifted out and STELLAR SPECTRA (K Yoshida), which shifted in. A Parramore and K Yoshida were both severely reprimanded for permitting their mounts to shift ground when not sufficiently clear.

Approaching the 200m CRAIGLEA LADY was steadied when crowded for room by PROUD BUCK, which shifted in.

Near the 100m KELMONT made contact with PROUD BUCK when taken in by STELLAR SPECTRA, which shifted in whilst hanging in.

SUMSUN returned to scale with a minor laceration to the off fore pastern.

A veterinary examination of CINDERELLA CAFE, which finished a distant last revealed that the mare was suffering from cardiac arrythmia. Trainer M Tremble was advised that an ECG and a veterinary clearance are required for the mare prior to its next start.

When questioned about the improved performance of winner DASHING HERB, trainer D O'Sullivan stated that the gelding fails to handle a track that is affected by rain and last start he was slightly disappointed with the run. D O'Sullivan also stated that stepping up in distance to 1525m and the track condition is the reason for the improved performance, explanation noted.

Time off: 7.05 PM.

RACE 7: PAUL WHITE MAIDEN H'CAP - 1625M.

JETE'S WONDER was slowly away.

SHOTPUT pulled fiercely in the early and middle stages.

BLUE STYLE laid out once placed under pressure in the home straight.

A veterinary examination of JETE'S WONDER, which finished a distant last failed to reveal any abnormality. Trainer W Gesler reported that the filly would now go for a spell.

Time off: 7.42 PM.

RACE 8: RAY WHITE TOOWOOMBA CITY CLASS 1 H'CAP - 1015M

J Sharp (CLARE BOUNTY) replaced G Geran, who was indisposed after riding in the previous event. J Sharp was granted permission to ride 1/2 kg overweight, as no other rider was available.

BILL THE BOATMAN and DE MARCO made contact on jumping.

Near the 900m DEMARC, ACADEMY OF ARTS and PRINCESS FIONA were crowded for room between THY KINGDOM COME and BILL THE BOATMAN, which shifted out.

Leaving the 600m SWEET AS SUGAR was forced wider on the track by ALTAO.

Time off: 8.26 PM.

ALL WINNERS WERE SWABBED.
