GENERAL
 
The track was upgraded from a Soft 5 to a Good 4 at 4.30pm.
 
Race 1: TOOWOOMBA OUTDOOR POWER PRODUCTS BENCHMARK 65 H’CAP – 1000M
 
The declaration of correct weight was delayed to enable Stewards to review the patrol footage over the concluding stages. Correct weight was subsequently declared on the judge’s semaphored numbers.
 
DESTIVA – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
SNIPPET OF HOPE – On return to scale, jockey J. Hull was reminded of his obligation to ride his mount out to the end of the race.
 
CAPTAIN’S ANGEL – Began awkwardly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have lost the near hind plate.
 
Race 2: HUSQVARNA CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1200M
 
The start of this race was delayed when JUPARA PRINCE became fractious in the barriers at which time it dislodged its bridle and broke the strap on the blinkers. When contacted, Trainer K. Kemp advised that he was satisfied for the horse to race without blinkers.
 
FOMO – Trainer B. Currie was fined $100 for failing to produce the horse’s Thoroughbred Identification Card.
 
HERRSCHAFT – Disappointed for a run leaving the 200m, and shifted in to obtain clear running.
 
WINSOME SAM – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
JUPARA PRINCE – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Got its head in the air whilst being steadied leaving the 900m. Trainer K. Kemp advised Stewards that he now intends to send the gelding for a spell.
 
JESSIE’S BOY – As Apprentice E. Ljung was unable to arrive on course to fulfil her engagement due to a significant traffic delay, Apprentice S. Lacy was substituted as rider. Stewards permitted Apprentice S. Lacy to ride the gelding 1 kilogram over its declared weight as no other rider was available. Stewards advised Trainer R. Hawkswell that a warning would be placed on the horse for being uncompetitive in tonight’s event, at which time Mr. Hawkswell advised that he now intends to retire the gelding.
 
Race 3: BAR GROUP QTIS 3YO MAIDEN H’CAP – 1200M
 
CAN’TBUYATHRILL – Raced greenly throughout and was not competitive. Trainer G. Betros was advised that a warning would be placed on the horse for being uncompetitive in tonight’s event.
 
WALL STREET TYCOON – Bumped shortly after the start by CAN’TBUYATHRILL which shifted out. Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced 3 wide with cover throughout.
 
DREAM OF FRANCE – Raced ungenerously near the 900m and, as a result, raced in restricted room and had to be steadied.
 
WILHELMINA – Very slow to begin.
 
KOPELLA – Turned its head as the start was effected and, as a result, lost ground. Raced 3 wide with cover throughout. Became unbalanced near the 400m when MISHANI VAIDRA (Beau Appo) shifted out bumping DREAM OF FRANCE (S. Bogenhuber) which in turn shifted out bumping KOPELLA.  Jockey Beau Appo was reprimanded as a result of this incident.
 
MISHANI VAIDRA – Underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers and was passed fit to start.
 
SAME OLD STORY – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
RUBY RED SLIPPERS – Began awkwardly.
 
Race 4: MASPORT MAIDEN H’CAP – 1050M
 
FIRST BID – Began awkwardly, and then shifted in and bumped heavily with another runner. Bumped heavily with another runner shortly after the start. Steadied from heels near the 550m.
 
AQUA DELAGO – Crowded for room shortly after the start and lost ground. Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
RED MONKEY – Crowded for room shortly after the start and lost ground. Steadied from heels whilst racing keenly near the 500m.
 
TOROKINA – Laid in approaching the 550m.
 
A HARD LIFE – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
DABKE – Bumped heavily on jumping away. Steadied from heels leaving the 350m.
 
HARD LOVE – Began awkwardly.
 
PIC’S PEARL – As jockey N. Tomizawa was unable to arrive on course to fulfil his engagement due to a significant traffic delay, jockey K. Yoshida was substituted as rider. Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Hung out rounding the home turn, and then laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
PROLETAIRE – Bumped heavily on jumping away. Bumped heavily by another runner shortly after the start.
 
Race 5: FURNEYS BENCHMARK 65 H’CAP – 1625M
 
UNIQUE MISTIQUE – Began awkwardly.
 
SELFIE – After being caught wide leaving the 1300m, pressed forward to obtain a position one off near the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no significant findings.
 
PRINCE MORPHEUS – Momentarily steadied from heels approaching the 900m.
 
ALPENGLOW – Bumped by another runner near the 900m. Hung out rounding the home turn.
 
NATIONAL JEWEL – Shifted in and brushed the running rail near the 1000m.
 
Race 6: WINNING EDGE MAIDEN PLATE – 1625M
 
GALLOPINAKIS – Shifted out leaving the 500m to avoid the heels of the weakening ELECTRIC ANNA. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. Trainer T. Lunney was advised that the horse will be ineligible to race for 3 months, and prior to resuming racing must perform satisfactorily in a 1000m gallop in the presence of a Steward.
 
BOUCHARD – Began awkwardly. Laid in in the home straight.
 
CHASINGWAGTAILS – Raced in restricted room when GALLOPINAKIS shifted out near the 500m.
 
ELECTRIC ANNA – Commenced to weaken leaving the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare revealed no significant findings.
 
VELLEITY – Raced wide in the early stages, and jockey G. Geran allowed the gelding to stride forward to obtain a position one off the fence near the 1100m.
 
Race 7: PRO-CLEAR RATINGS BAND 0-60 H’CAP – 870M
 
The start of this race was delayed when MISS MANEUVER was late leaving the enclosure.
 
MAGIC INK – Slow to muster early speed. Laid in in the home straight.
 
DANGEROUS DANICA – Raced 3 wide for the majority. Made the home turn wide, and laid in in the home straight.
 
MISS MANEUVER – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
