Race 1: DREAM HORSE - IN CINEMAS JUNE BENCHMARK 68 Handicap 1210metres
 
The start was delayed when ISSAQUAH cast a near fore plate on route to the barriers. As the plate was unable to be re-fitted, stewards declared ISSAQUAH a late scratching at 5:05pm. Stewards ordered that all monies invested in ISSAQUAH be refunded with the following deductions to apply:
 
  9 cents in the dollar for the win - #6
  8 cents in the dollar for the place of winner - #6
11 cents in the dollar for 2nd placegetter – #5
11 cents in the dollar for 3rd placegetter - #9
 
LYRICAL PRINCE – Near the 400m, steadied when awkwardly placed at heels.
 
KATERU – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Leaving the 900m steadied after improving onto the heels of PROUD ROC. Near the 400m, steadied when awkwardly placed at heels.
 
PROUD ROC (NZ) – Approaching the 900m, was placed in restricted room and eased when KEEP ON LOVING YOU, which was hanging in, shifted in and away from JOCHBERG.
 
JOCHBERG – Hung out rounding the home turn.
 
REST OF THE WORLD – After being caught wide in the early stages was ridden forward by its rider to obtain the leading position near the 1000m and as a consequence settled further forward than anticipated.
 
KEEP ON LOVING YOU – Inclined to hang in during the home straight.
 
I'MTWENTYFOURSEVEN – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
PRINCESS KAYO (NZ) – Stewards accepted the explanation of trainer T. Sears in relation to the late rider declaration. Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight and went to the line without being fully tested.
 
Race 2: MARIA RILEY MEMORIAL Class 1 Handicap 1875 metres
 
ALIRAAJ (NZ) – Jumped in the air at the start and lost ground. Raced keenly during the early and middle stages.
 
MANHATTAN SPECTOR (NZ) – Bumped on jumping and lost ground. Momentarily held up rounding the home turn. Raced in restricted room leaving the 300m and as a result made contact with the running rail.
 
BILL OF RIGHTS - Raced keenly during the early and middle stages.
 
JUMEIRAH TRIANGLE – Bumped on jumping and forced wider in the track.
 
DECOR DEELS – Began awkwardly. Jockey L. Tarrant was reprimanded under AR.132(7)(a)(ii) for his use of the whip prior to the 100m.
 
RAR RAR – Trainer M. Currie was fined $100 under AR.99 for failing to produce the mare’s thoroughbred identification card. Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced ungenerously whilst being restrained in the early stages.
 
Race 3: LYNDON KEANE MEDIA RATINGS BAND 0 - 60 Handicap 870 metres
 
INTIMATE TYCOON – Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground.
 
CRAFTY AQUILA – Near the 50m steadied when placed in restricted room to the inside of JONDY ROCKET which hung in despite the best efforts of its rider.
 
GHABBIE – Raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages.
 
JONDY ROCKET – Began awkwardly. Hung in under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Race 4: EVENT CINEMAS Class 1 Plate 1300 metres
 
COALBANK CAVALRY – As Apprentice M. Potgieter was not riding at the meeting, he was replaced as the rider of the gelding by M. Kennedy.
 
LUVYOUANYTIME – Bumped by another runner on two occasions passing the 400m.
 
UNIQUE JOURNEY - Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Dictated wider in the track rounding the home turn.
 
VINTAGE BOROSSA – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
FLICK – Dictated wider in the track by VINTAGE BOROSSA rounding the home turn. At a subsequent inquiry Apprentice K. Wilson-Taylor was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that rounding the home turn he directed his mount outwards at an acute angle to secure clear running resulting in FLICK being bumped, dictated off its racing line and forced wider on the track. Further, UNIQUE JOURNEY, which was trailing, was also dictated wider as a result of this incident. Apprentice Wilson-Taylor’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of nine days to commence midnight 21/6/2021, the expiration date of a suspension already incurred, and to expire at midnight 30/6/2021.
 
MISS HOW LONG – Fractious in barriers. Tightened for room at the start and lost ground.
 
 
Race 5: SHEPPARD EARTHMOVING Class 1 Plate 1300 metres
 
The start was delayed when MONTEREY LAD underwent a pre-race veterinary examination at the start after it was found to have blood in its mouth. Stewards subsequently declared MONTEREY LAD a late scratching acting on veterinary advice at 7:18pm. Stewards ordered that all monies invested in MONTEREY LAD be refunded with the following deductions to apply:
 
0 cents in the dollar for the win - #1
1 cents in the dollar for the place of winner - #1
1 cents in the dollar for 2nd placegetter – #3
2 cents in the dollar for 3rd placegetter - #4
 
The start was further delayed when URALBA underwent a gear adjustment after being loaded in the barriers.
 
ALLEZ ZOU (NZ) – Apprentice K. Wilson Taylor pleaded guilty to a charge under AR.132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used his whip on more than five occasions prior to the 100m. Apprentice Wilson-Taylor’s license to ride in races for suspended for a period of fourteen days to commence midnight 30/6/2021, the expiration date of a suspension incurred in the previous event and to expire midnight 14/7/2021.
 
LONADO – Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
SLIGHTLY SHADY – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
STAZZANA – Raced with its head in the air whilst being restrained when placed in restricted room in the early stages. Then continued to race with its head in the air for a considerable distance.  Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
URALBA – Slow to begin.
 
Race 6: GOODBYE STEVE THE HGSC WILL MISS YOU QTIS 2YO Handicap 1000 metres
 
ALCASO – Slow to begin. Tailed off from the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
 
SHE'S SO VAIN – Raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages.
 
Race 7: TRICARE WILLOW GLEN Colts, Geldings and Entires Maiden Plate 1100metres
 
ARATULA – Trainer M. Patterson was fined $100 under LR.67 for failing to declare a rider be the required time.
 
MONTBARD (NZ) –  Trainer D. Groves was fined $100 under AR.99 for failing to produce the gelding’s thoroughbred identification card. Slow to begin.
 
ORACLE'S DRUMMER – Slow to begin.
 
PAROO – Raced ungenerously leaving the 1000m when momentarily placed in restricted room resulting in its rider becoming unbalanced. Approaching the 850m was tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when LAURIE was taken in by VAIN LUKE. Jockey G. Walters, the rider of VAIN LUKE was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that at a point approaching the 850m, he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of LAURIE resulting in that runner being tightened for room and forced inwards, resulting in PAROO being checked to avoid heels and losing ground. Jockey G. Walters’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 9 days to commence midnight 6th June 2021 and to conclude midnight 15th June 2021.
 
Race 8: TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY Fillies and Mares Maiden Plate 1110 metres
 
GLASSATA ROSA – After being assessed by the Queensland Ambulance Service after his previous engagement, Jockey J. Murphy was replaced by Jockey L. Tilley. Jockey Murphy was advised he will require a medical certificate prior to returning to racing. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
SINE CURVE – After being assessed by the Queensland Ambulance Service after his previous engagement Apprentice A. Thompson was replaced by Apprentice T. Wheeler. Stewards advised Apprentice Thompson that he will require a medical clearance prior to returning to race riding. Raced wide with cover for the majority.
 
OUR DOLL – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Tailed off over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. A warning was placed on the mare.
 
BLACK MONACO – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
MISS MOSCATO – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
 
WHY NOT ME – Raced keenly during the early and middle stages. Upon retuning to scale Jockey L. Tarrant reported his mount was inclined to lay in rounding the home turn.
