App Lentons license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 13days, to commence 1 June, up to and including 13 June 2025. In considering the matter Stewards considered the degree of carelessness and severity of interference, App Lentons record and the QRIC careless riding template. App Lenton was advised of her right to an appeal.

Stewards, in the presence of Apprentice mentor Mr R Fradd, questioned App L Martyn’s riding of the gelding in the home straight, particularly why after being held up on entering the home straight App Martyn elected to shift out when there appeared to be room to improve to the outside of LIGHTNING STRIKES and shortly there afterward between ESPRIT DU JOUR and BLANTONS RUN. App Martyn, with the benefit of hindsight, concurred with Stewards that better opportunities were available prior to her shifting to the outside of BLANTONS RUN and ultimately having notable difficulty obtaining clear running from that point on.
