WEATHER – Overcast/Showers   TRACK RATING –   Heavy 8 Race 1-4; Heavy 9 Race 5-6; Heavy 10 Race 7 RAIL – True

OFFICIALS

Chairman of Stewards – C Warren
Stewards – J Childs, W Glass & A Cuckson

GENERAL

The commencement of the meeting was delayed due to issues with the photo finish.

The commencement was further delayed due to a heavy shower that included sleet which blanketed the mounting yard area and the course proper crossing causing those areas to become slippery and requiring remedial works. Stewards and a delegation of riders undertook an inspection of the racing surface, deeming it suitable for the meeting to commence and downgraded the track to a Heavy 8.

Race times were amended as follows:

Race 1- 6:10pm
Race 2- 6:45pm
Race 3- 7:16pm
Race 4- 7:47pm
Race 5- 8:18pm
Race 6- 8:49pm
Race 7- 9:18pm

The following runners were permitted as late scratchings by Stewards as a result of continued track downgrades:

6:20pm- END ASSEMBLY, WINSTON BLUE, TAJALAT & REVALENE
7:04pm- DREAM SUMMIT
7:06pm- GREAT ANGLES & OUR ESPRIT
7:22pm- DRUMS OF WAR

As these had been re-affixed the off-side rein had been caught under the blinkers.
