Rider L. Tilley was examined by QAS medics and stood down the remainder of his riding engagements. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed swelling to the lumbar area. Trainer H. Richardson was advised a warning would be placed on ELIZABASS for its manners.

SKY BLUE – After the race was noted to have lost its off fore plate.
Following the running of the race, which was run in dense foggy conditions, all riders met with Stewards to discuss their concerns with conditions experienced. All riders that rode in the race, expressed the view that whilst having previously ridden in foggy conditions at Toowoomba & had sufficient visibility, the dense foggy conditions experienced in Race 3, particularly round the home turn and in the straight, did not provide adequate visibility for safety purposes. It was decided to delay the running of Race 4 to see if the conditions improve, with Stewards and riders reconvening around 7.30pm where Stewards made the decision to postpone the remainder of the meeting, races 4-7; due to the lack of adequate visibility for riders and horses.
